How are sieges still broken?

I remember playing this when the game first released on early access. There were definitely issues with the pathfinding of friendly infantry during sieges, but nothing major that couldn't be fixed. Playing through the game now, soldiers still refuse to path to ladders or siege towers. This results in infantry blobbing up against the walls because they're trying to walk through the walls. What gives? Anyone else having these issues? Am I doing something wrong? To be honest, the game doesn't really feel any different from first release. The biggest things I've noticed are completed skill trees... but that's about it. submitted by /u/spoobered [link] [comments]

Crashing before battles on Series X

Every time I try to load a battle on a certain character, after about 2 weeks of no issues, my game crashes about 70% through loading the fight every single time. I've reinstalled and rebooted the save so many times but it keeps doing this shit. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/YummyStyrofoamSnack [link] [comments]

What's the best elite infantry when guarding flanks or archers?

Started a fresh run with the Battanians as a noob, roleplaying as a ruthless mercenary. Accidentally discovered the stupidly opness of the fian champion during a 3 to 1 battle where 100 fians decimated a 200 strong empire force with little casualties. And now I want to capitalize on that raw firepower by setting up infantry that can handle the brunt of the assault whilst my fians do the dirtywork. Different cultures can do just as long as it can take a hit and still be standing submitted by /u/WanderingObserver191 [link] [comments]

Want To Get Back Into Bannerlord

Like the title says, I'd love to get back into Bannerlord but I felt the gameplay loop was a little repetitive but I may have also just been playing in a repetitive way, and that was about a year ago. Any tips on spicing up my gameplay? I typically played on Realistic but with no permanent deaths, as I tend to get attached to characters. But my main gripe was just unhelpful or straight up detrimental AI, meanwhile Derpfart was consistently coming at me with 2k strong armies. I also only play Battania, and I don't meta build my armies so I should probably try other civs out. Lmk what you do to keep it spicy and difficult while not making it annoyingly hard, as I have less time to play then before. submitted by /u/TheFastNTheFurion [link] [comments]

How do simulated battles work?

Im curious how beneficial terrain bonuses are, the game only describes it in vague terms. like if im going to fight in a forest should i bring a full complement of only infantry bc they are the only ones boosted in it or will i get creamed for trash army composition? submitted by /u/Itchy-Ad7271 [link] [comments]

When to Call it on a Run?

I just reached clan tier 5 on my first run. Can rock an army of about 257, sided with Vlandia. Rocked big cavalry group, a couch lance and fast horse for myself. I’ve had an absolute blast but I’ve become a bit disillusioned with the late game. I am playing on an easy difficulty, and did so just to have fun and learn the game. Now that I know how fiefs, and armies, marriage, clans etc work I feel much more learned. My issue arises that at this point I have all these fiefs and castles awarded to me, and I know if I break from my kingdom to form my own, I either lose them or go to war with the faction I spent so much time with. I have my own companions covering skills like medicine and scouting, but hardly not the companions to make a bunch of parties etc. This was a very ‘honorable’ run and it just doesn’t feel right to break away from Vlandia after helping them conquer half the map. So I ask, when do you typically consider your run ‘done’? I haven’t experimented with workshops, carav
