Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Longest play through?

What is the longest playthrough you’ve done without getting bored? I’m curious to see how long people stick around in their campaigns. I found it difficult at first because the game loop gets boring fast but on 1 play through I’ve been able to stick around long enough for multiple generations to come and go, with the year currently being 1207 (almost to Warband date lol).
