Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. I love the idea of having my companions form their own parties and going out into the world, but it seems totally useless, and actually it's more of a net negative, because always, ALWAYS, within ten days they are captured by a much weaker force and then I have to go pay money to break them out of prison and they lose all the troops I've given them, which wastes a LOT of soldiers after a while. I end up just making them governors to keep them out of trouble, even if they suck at actually governing. Any advice for how to keep them from getting captured all the time? Tips or tricks?
