I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. I want to get started at modding MB2, but don't know where to begin. Pls help

Hello, I've been learning programming for about a year now, and want to further my knowledge through the development of mods. I know enough Python and C to get off the ground, have gotten the map editor to work, and have installed mods in MB2 before. Despite this, I really have no clue where to start, and could find no resources even confirming what language it is written in. Any links or suggestions as to where I can begin would be appreciated.
