Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. What should I do?

I have 8 companions. Should I distribute them to each troop unit, or should I make them an "elite" shock unit, like I saw in a post?
