What Town Would You Choose for This Challenge Run and What Would Your Strategy Be?

One Town Challenge

  • Rules
  1. Can only hold a single designated town, and all castles held must be trade bound to the designated town
  2. Can only use troops & companions recruited from the town itself and its trade bound villages
  3. Can only sell to the town and its trade bound villages (banning caravans)
  4. Can only use items that are bought from the town (selling items to the town and buying them back to use is allowed)
  5. Can only be a mercenary/lord for the faction in control of the town at the time
  6. All ways of making money are only allowed if they theoretically don't provide any benefit to other towns and villages than the ones you plan to own
  7. Marriages can only be with the clan in control of the town at the time
  • Goals
  1. Own the town and all its possible trade bound villages
  2. Max out all town & castle buildings
  3. Max out all owned village hearths to 600+
  4. Found a kingdom and instate all policies that benefit the town
  5. Form trade agreements with all factions except the ones close enough that your villages will start sending villager parties to trade with their towns
  6. Defend the town against a siege of at least 2040 enemy units
  7. Finally, make the town as great as you can

---

I came up with this idea for a challenge run the other day and spent some time brainstorming the rules. I think I'm ready to attempt it now but am wondering what strategies you guys would take to it and what town you'd choose for the run?

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...
