Why can't I buy my spouse?

I am trying to marry right now and for some reason I am unable to complete the process.

I did the charm checks and now whenever I speak to my prospective spouse, the conversation always ends with "I hope we get this ordeal of our Marriage sorted out soon". When ever I go to the clan leader Agsotha I can find any option to marry or bring up the conversation

Does anyone have any advice?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
