So I've just failed the main storyline because I ran out of time trying to get to clan level 4 in 10 years, but it has only been like 700 days. Is this an intended feature or a bug? Is there anyway I can get around this aside from loading an older save and grinding? Whenever I started chopping heads to eliminate a faction, my honor goes -2. I dont really know what determines what. Like, switching sides on gang leadet quest should affect my honor. Killing enemy lords should make me cruel (vs merciful). Accepting duels with bandit should increase my Daring. Releasing lords after defeating them should be merciful. Also, when bandits surrender and ask for "show what mercy you can", there should be an option to wheter slaughter them (-merciful) or spare them (+merciful) or take them as slaves (neutral). Have my own kingdom and i've been going through and executing each member of a kingdom to fully destroy them. Now i've destroyed 3 kingdoms so far. The first one, all the fiefs went to another faction, the second one, all the fiefs went to me, and the third one, all the fiefs went to another faction again. So im in my first play through and I simped and joined the empress, I don’t remember what age I started at but I’m 45 now and only have 1 Town (Syronea ) and 1 castle (Jogurys Castle) and their respective villages and I want more. I've got a bit of an issue with the random name generator right now. I remember back in 1.57 the generator gave names that were culture appropriate, but now in 1.58 no matter which culture I take I keep getting only Battanian (?) names. Like I choose Aserai and the name generator keeps giving me names like Col and other Celtic names. I've got a bunch of mods installed, but I just did a clean install with no mods and still no change. So I was playing as a mercenary for a bit, after a while I got a bit stronger so I decided to join a faction as I normally do, in this case I joined the Aserai, but literally like a minute after that they declared a war on the strongest faction (in this case the Western Empire) while at war with the southern one, minute later they declared on Battania, minute later Khuzaits, another minute it was Vlandians and not so long after that, the Sturgians but that wasn't even the craziest thing, that would be that the enemy lords, no matter from where, started joining us, one by one, until almost everyone joined, but at that point I stopped playing, I guess the rest of them would have joined too. I'm sure these post are made constantly so sorry for that. I've played warband on xbox for so long. And finally got a computer that can run warband without catching fire. So I'm ready to try some mods. I've messed around with medieval conquest, the steam workshop starwars mod, (dont remember the name but some ww2 mod) and raW. But I'm looking for other recommendations of any type. From more additions to the vanilla game, complete overhauls/conversions or even submods to any of the mods I listed above or i should play. I have a strong interest in a star wars mod. The galactic conquest (I think that's the name) just didn't feel fun to play. Though I also love history so. I'll take just about anything to be honest. Also I wanted to play the viking dlc but had some issues getting into it without getting slaughtered. Though I haven't gave it much of a chance for awhile. I’ve searched videos and guides, and see all the strategies and explanations, how many you need to Max the stat, but not the simple info of how many you end up with available to use at the end of the game. I’m at level 5, and I hear it goes up to level 30 unless you get certain smith perks. I’ve got 16 focus points spent, with one left; 18 attribute points set, with one free one left. How many points can I expect to have at end game? 25 more of each? It'd be cool if we get an option to turn the clearing into a workshop after you drive away the gangs. You get an option to either take over as a new gang leader or turn it into a workshops or unlock docks which opens up the option to trade via sea. I'm noticing that when battling an army I've got more chance of winning in simulation mode than I do if I fight it myself. This is despite some great performances from me. For instance during a siege i got behind a large cross bow and decapitated 37 enemy. Pretty much constant shooting into a circle of enemy. Despite this, I kept losing. I really wanted the character points but couldn't win the battle, even though my army was automated. However, reloading the game and I would easily win on simulation. ..is this a known issue? Also, does falling during a battle have an impact on soldier moral? Would I be better off hiding in a tower or does it have no effect if I fall? Thanks. submitted by /u/xug [link] [comments]

I just downloaded my first Mod from NexusMods (eagle rising) I put it in the correct spot and made sure unblock the dll flie. However, after all that when i go to play the mod, I click the right boxes and then press play. It just loads the native game without the mod coming up. Can someone see what I am doing wrong here? Do i need to enable the sandbox or something else? Also, for the record I tried this with another mod, and got the same exact issue so obviously I am doing something wrong here. They're a "Guerilla" faction that has no access to archers other than expensive and rare nobles. They're the only faction that still uses downgraded armour from antiquity, despite all the other factions having early medieval technology. Early medieval Celts had way better armour and weapons than what the Devs have put in the game. Like, I don't get it, all the other factions have access to Early Medieval technology, but Battania has to have iron age technology?? Its almost like they WANT no one to play as Battania because they didn't balance them properly. And if you REALLY want the Battanians to be forced to play with no heavy cavalry or ranged units, then AT LEAST GIVE THEM A HIGHER WEAPON SKILL THAN OTHER FACTIONS. Someone did a post about this some years ago before bannerlord came out. We were discussing what kind of player trait we would have according to how we naturally behave in the game. Martial, good natured, debauched etc. Now in bannerlord it's alot more in depth and it changes but IF it remained permanent, the kind of lord you truly are deep down. What would it be? 4 to 5 traits only and must have some good mixed in with bad. (Don't gloat yourself up) I'll start. I would say my traits would be and why Cautious, Honest, generous, calculating II only fight igI'm equal or better than my opponent, I have no qualms leaving a few to die so I can escape.. I always treat my prisoners, troops and subjects well but I'm not opposed to burning villages either, I just think ahead with a long term goal in mind trying to forge friendships and gain power in the realm. Is there a more efficient way to do this? All of my better tier 3 and tier 4 troops just take all the kills and XP which is frustrating because I’ll have recruits sitting at t1 and t2 for a long time, and because it’s so hard to re train I don’t participate in any fun battles out of fear of losing my men. I’m on my fourth play thru and usually try and grab 2-3 towns before I leave whatever kingdom I’m in. I did a test withdraw and saw that upon leaving you lose all your influence. As i currently have over 700 with the Brits I’m either trying to come up with ways to spend it that make sense, or figure out how to get rid of Caldog. My influence far exceeds his. Granted I did not test this a lot. I just tried out 4 custom battles with battanian archers 200 of them and set the enemy at a random composition with 200 enemies as well with me as a sargeant. first round against Sturgia, then against the Vladian, third match against the empire and the fourth match against 200 kuzait cavalry. After spending a lot of time playing Warband, not only in Native but in other mods that don't deviate too much from Native (Nova Aetas, Diplomacy, Age of Calradia Enhanced, etc.), I have a few unpopular opinions after nearly a thousand hours of gameplay. ​ 1) Sarranid Mamlukes are superior to Swadian Knights I've spent a lot of time playing as Swadia, just because I like the concept of massive horse charges with lances piercing out, and the thousands upon thousands of Vaegir Archers and Khergit Horsemen who have fallen at the whims of the horde of Swadian cavalry. However, a few months ago I decided to give the Sarranids a try (they were the only faction I hadn't played up to that point), and the Mamlukes are actually beginning to put the Knights to shame in a few important ways. In the current state, the economy kills all the fun from the game, to stay afloat you need to make javelins. Passive sources of income are simply too weak to cover any of the costs of the army. ​ But what really kills all the fun for me is rare items, their cost exceeds 100k dinars and they don't appear in cities, therefore even such a simple action as improving equipment turns into pain for several hours or even days. Nothing worse than 30 looters charging you then 2 of them get killed and they all run away and since you don't have horse you just have to settle for only 2 kills unless your archers are lucky enough to get a couple more. And even if you do have a horse it's still feels cheap because you can just run after them killing them and they don't do anything except run in a straight line. This is my big issue with bannerlord. The ai is stupid as all can be. They can’t use ladders or drive towers properly. I can’t ever trust them to use siege weapons because half the time they destroy their own siege engines. The ai is just a mess! Now don’t get me wrong bannerlord is super fun and I enjoy every minute of playing it! But please taleworlds please! fix the ai before you add anymore features! Okay, so i started a new game maybe a week or two ago. I love bannerlord, one of my favourite games. Yes, it's lacking in many aspects, but it is early access, so I let it slide. Sieges, however, aren't only lacluster in some elements, but some are straight up broken. Here's a little list of problems i have: ​ AI still doesn't use ladders correctly. I have several times seen them not use the ladders AT ALL. That is gamebreaking when you play them. And when they use them (and in them, i mean one of them), it's only around 5 dudes who climb up, before there's a minute cap between ''the next wave'' The enemy AI (when defending) can be seen climbing on the attackers ladders. Not often, but it happens. If you want to battle out the siege, you have to do one of two things: Rush the ladders early on and climb up yourself. I'm not sure if there has been anything from the dev end, but does anyone know if the devs plan on adding pike Bracing to Single player? Pikeman feel fairly useless since they usually will take their swords out and be a infantryman with no shield. And with no way to tell them to use their pike I feel there's no reason to really have them at this point. So i completely destroyed the southern empire, they had no fiefs left, no castles, no towns, NADA! And then, as a sane and resonable person i go to make peace to not have to worry about constant village raids since the "empire" will live on even with no lands owned. BUT NO! I still have to pay 2700 denars per day in tribute to them... what? Hello, ive asked this question 6 months ago and once again i got the bannerlord itches. Looking to get back into the game and I was just curious wether Sieges are slightly less buggy now with the recent live (&beta) patches? I stopped playing after a long campaign because of the infamous "ladder bug". Are there any official fixes to the AI, or have there been some Mods released recently that fixes this? The AI has a knack for purposefully enacting the most garbage policies imaginable. And the way the politics system works you are rarely ever able to revoke crap policies. Relations dont seem to affect it much at all either. Trial by Jury: -1 influence and -0.2 security for +0.5 loyalty That policy really just sucks, or at least early to mid game where you need that influence and dont care much for security or loyalty, particularly when loyalty isnt a big problem because most factions are within their culture borders. Castle Charters: -20% castle upgrade cost ??? Whats the point of giving most policies some sort of drawback and then making some just objectively good? These policies ought to be balanced a bit more.
