I'm late game, and whenever I conquer a new town or castle, it's always these three nobles who are candidates for ownership. I checked, and it's not even an influence issue as the other nobles have many to use for themselves. I can't even take one for myself and gift it to another vassal because I don't even show up in the choices. I'm aware of the option to sequester a vassal's fief in the kingdom menu, but I don't want to mess up my relations with them. I have a few ideas for mods, like a hunting mod where your party can generate food based on the skill, or a grand strategy mod that allows you (as a ruler) to predetermine which cities your armies take so you can launch cohesive offensives. I’ve also never modded a game in my life, but no game has pulled me in as hard as bannerlord did. I only started playing like a week or so before 7.0 dropped but I played a fuck ton of warband over the past couple of years. What do experienced players do with companions mid/late game? I’ve had them running caravans, but even horse thieves get caught all the damned time. Chasing 5-6 of them all over Calradia AND spending 22.5k on something that VERY likely won’t pay itself off seems less than ideal. I have my surgeon and engineer. My wife has tactics and charm. I have maxed scouting. I have two leading parties. Governors seem useless unless they’re a loyalty stat stick. Every time I come back to my cities my governors have disappeared and are no longer a part of my clan. I wasn't sure what was happening, so I just kept looking for new, even better governors. I found one, put her in power, and watched another lord come to my city for some fresh recruits. Not only did he take recruits, he also recruited my governess, who WAS apart of my clan and is no longer. Is this supposed to happen? Random crashes when the game is trying to load back into world map mostly from pressing confirm button from trade or something else. Better eindows exception doesnt caught anything. Faction starts a war, makes armies, then sends the armies "to a point" or "to a town" across the map while the enemy attacks their undefended towns and castles. Seiges castles, then leaves them completely undefended. 800 man npc army sees a player army sieging a castle with 400 men, and walks right by them as an enemy force of 1000 men approaches. Then they go sit in a town doing nothing while the enemy army pursues and destroys you while you're disorganized and slow after leaving the seige. The AI behaviour of armies has to change. Large scale combat is kind of an end game goal in this game, yet it remains the most frustrating hurdle it currently faces. Playing since launch, just shy of 2000 hrs, experienced mod user, and 1.7.0 just has me scratching my head. Spent the week after work taking my time and getting my mod list up and running and stable and started a new playthrough tonight. First looter battle and I'm like "Um..what?". The new party and troop management systems are going to take some getting used to! Not complaining, just reminiscing on what it was like when I first started playing and not knowing WTF was going on lol. Hello people, I notice that the cavalry charge is ridiculous. The cavalry breaks formation and attacks randomly. There is no point on any formation or complex manouvers. Hi everyone! I have 46 vassals and I don't know if it's a bug or a vassal cap exists but it seems like I can't recruit more vassals anymore. After finishing all empire factions, the game started to snowball. I had a plan of recruiting a vassal for each city we capture with the same culture and the plan was going really well. Armies started to move on Khuzaits and we captured 3 of the northern Khuzait cities fast. Recruiting 3 of the Khuzaits vassal was no problem. But after that 46th vassal, no vassal wants to join my faction anymore. I tried everything. Smithed like hell and made 40M gold. Made 100 relation with some. Destroyed and captured all Khuzait settlements. Still, all of the remaining Khuzait vassals are like "I am happy with my Liege blah blah...." I am really confused with the system in Bannerlord, so I would really appreciate it if you people can clarify this. So my Vigor attribute is at 2, and I placed 5 focus points on the two-handed skill. With the formula [ (Attribute x 14) -10] + (Focus x 40) The learning limit should be 218 right? But the green bar only reaches up to 175, and if I hover it, it says that the total learning limit is indeed only at 175. Does that mean that I will stop increasing my 2-handed skill at 175, or does the green bar only indicate that I learn at a faster rate up until 175? As the tittle says. We pay a tribute to almost every nation because of just constant wars with multiple nations at a time. 3/4 of the clans I made from companions, 1/4 I was able to convince. yes ok dividing same troop type into 2 is for sure reasonable and sounds like not a big deal, but it made things much easier. try dividing horse archers into 2 and command them the whole time at both sides of enemy. its funny AF. AI just keeps going back and forth and melt down in seconds to arrows from both sides and what about sieges? i mean yea this time we can use all of the stairs of the tower finally. but i dont even use them anymore. i let troops put the tower and not use them. why? because stupid AI come in front of the tower on top of the wall to "counter" me but somehow turn their back so my archers kill them for free from the ground. i win sieges against 500 troops like less than 10 deaths of something thanks to this. before at least they were not doing this. to me this new patch made the game 10 times easier lol. for now its fun yea but idk if its really sustainable because game will get more boring faster. submitted by /u/3iksx [link] [comments]

I am some hours down my second playthrough and this is as far as I've gotten in this game. I roamed around the world being mercenary for factions at war with each other and had a blast. But decided to settle Downey with vlandia, now I got max in workshops and got me a nice little castle. But now I feel that I dont have anything to do, especially when my faction is at peace. I mean I must've escorted every caravan in the vlandian kingdom by now. I guess this is midgame? Is the only thing to wait for my kingdom to declare war and try to snipe a city? I had some mods on so I turned them all off reloaded the save and got chopping again but it just teleported them too another city again (when I look in my dictionary it says "Last seen as town X today"). I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered this. I've got a new save file right now where the game keeps freezing while I wait in town. The simulation stops entirely. I can often still hear music and background noise. The game is locked, and I have to close it with the Task Manager. Task Manager reports the game using 0% of the GPU during this locked phase, but shows power usage as Very High. I've got minimal mods, mostly Fourberie, Houses of Calradia, and some troop trees (all in date, not old and broken.) Never had this before. My game was working fine a few hours ago, but now it's crashing every time as soon as I open it. I deliberately have it locked to 1.7.0e so when they release the next update it doesn't break all my mods. Whenever I start a new game I really loved the process as a Vassal but once you play as a King, theres so much micromanaging because the system and A.i is horrendous. With constant warfare that you fight by yourself(your vassals dont form armies and even with monetary/resource support still fields weak troops type) vs enemy A.I who somehow is smarter and make big armies(vassals). I'm experiencing a really weird problem where I can't issue movements to my troops during the deployment stage in sieges. It's constantly making a sound like I'm issuing a selection, but I can't actually do anything. Other commands seem to work fine, but when I press F1, the menu only pops up briefly before disappearing. This ends as soon as the deployment phase ends, and it doesn't seem to affect me in field battles, but it's really annoying not being able to do anything preemptive during a siege. With the new method of assigning troops to units I am entirely unable to manage troops efficiently. I understand you can play with it to make it work. I can’t fathom that I’m supposed to tweak my army pre battle for 30 minutes if there is any slight change in roster. Whenever i start up my game MCM will recognize certain mods (dismemberment plus, better garrisons, detailed character creation, and no workshop limit) but then when i go to actually start a campaign then it loads for a few seconds and crashes. The mercs I hire keep leaving while I am in the middle of a war. Is there a way to extend their contracts? Is there a way I can see how long their contracts last? Oftentimes, they even end up working for the empire I am at war with. At this point, I feel like I should just chop off all the heads of the leadership to the minor clans and be done with them. To get more vassals I am making my companions into vassals. Mostly I am giving them castles, but I've given a few towns in hope that they can raise more troops. I joined the Northern Empire as a mercenary. Fought a lot of battles on their behalf and did some quests for a couple of clan leaders. Married Lucon's daughter. and had 6 kids. Lucon died at some point and his son Ascyron was put in charge. At this point I decided screw it, I'll join them as a vassal. Northern Empire was at war with Battania at the moment and after we took Seonon I was granted ownership. I was a vassal for maybe 2 days and I got a town with 4 villages. An unexpected but nice suprise! It took Raganvad years before he gave me a castle.. But then, within a month, we declared war on every faction except Sturgia. I had to fend off wave after wave of Battanian and Vlandian trash while the Northern Empire derped around with its armies and lost town after town. Almost all the villages have been raided. I’m fairly new to the game, but I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with battlefield tactics. Here are some that I’ve found to be effective. A lot of you will probably know these already, but I hope this helps someone! Against an infantry army: Put your infantry in front with archers behind, preferably on a hill. Lead your heavy cavalry into a head on charge and break through their lines. Keep going for several seconds. The enemy should be charging your cavalry, turn and lead your cavalry in to meet them, and command your infantry to charge at the same time. The enemy is sandwiched between heavy cavalry and infantry units cutting into their unshielded backs. When the enemy gets reinforcements, command infantry to pull back to their original positions, and clean up the stragglers of the first wave with your cavalry. Circle behind the new wave with your cavalry. Rinse and repeat. On river maps: Do not attempt to cross the river. Put your infantry on the river bank, archers behind o...

Why the hell is it that when I am defending my towns/ castles when I assign my men to wall A, B, or C as soon as the battle begins they want to go butt fuck the gate?! No matter what I do the troops will not defend the ladder/tower entry points. Yet, when I am attacking towns the defenders defend the towers/ ladders as if my troops are storming the walls with the soul purpose to skull fuck their mothers?! I've tried everything. I've deligated command, I've mashed F1 (point to desired location) F1, I've selected the correct troops and told them to follow me, I've even auto fought. NOTHING! Statistically speaking and strategically speaking 1 defender is worth about 5 attackers. Arguable 1:10 if the troop is totally leveled up. So, I'm at the point in the game where I'm rolling around with a 2600-man army and blowing the crap out of everyone, but with an army this big, food is an issue. But I realized something. Slaughtering a horse gives you three meat. And a mule or sumpter horse is pretty cheap..... I just bought 1100 mules and slaughtered them. .....mmmmmm, horse meat. So far I’ve only ever gotten to a point where I presented the dragon banner to a kingdom one time, battania, and as soon as I did it, the entire empire turned hostile against us. My question is, if you side with the empire, will all the non-imperial factions become hostile? Do any of you know of a mod or if the devs are planning to change how reinforcements arrive on the maps? The fact they kind of just pop in during sieges and sometimes behind your troops is irritating at best. During non siege battles they just sort of trickle in which leads to a lot of casualties from cavalry. It would also be nice if you could tell certain troops to focus on a specific type such as cav make archers a priority. Sorry if I’m rambling. Just want to preface this by saying I had major stuttering in game(world map/menu/battlefield/etc) despite having way above the recommended specs. I searched through threads offering plenty of advice on how to better optimize, and while I'm sure those methods have helped others, did nothing for my issue. ZERO tweaking or performance options helped. Until I transferred this game to an SSD. Absolutely gone. Hoping if someone has the same experience they could find this post. Okay I'm out of the loop a little here - has anyone else noticed how much Bannerlord streaming seems to be taking off in Korea?? Like all the most recent Bannerlord twitch streams are in Korean (with a smattering of other languages). ​ This is a) Super cool to see Bannerlord doing so well outside of the traditional EU/NA/Australian-NZ combination of Western countries who seem to dominate the gaming market b) Super intriguing to me, is it popular just because popular Korean streamers picked it up or is there some other kind of appeal to it? ​ Anyone get a take on it? Simply have a character with high smithing, and create this weapon -Long Falx Blade on max size -Ridged Western Guard on max size -Reinforced Jewelled Two Handed Grip on minimum size -Eaglehead Pommel on minimum size Simply spam these out on your smithing character and have the companion you want to level smelt them down. They will gain 1850 exp towards each level per sword, regardless of their smithing level or whether or not they gain smithing exp. Morning everyone, so I am approaching the point in the game where I may want to have multiple armies, one commanded directly by me on the field and maybe other ones run by companions/lords/etc. I've read around that, expecially companions left around to recruit their own army, are pretty terrible. What I would like to do would be something like tell to someone "Go here, do this, do that, kill that, back to this city, etc". Are there some way to do this?
