Since I was little (read: about 6 months ago), iIdreamed of bringing freedom, prosperity, and capitalism to calradia, under the benevolent rule of Fletchcorp. I identified one particular weakness to my strategy after a while. Monchung. The bastard kept coming after I started my own country. Actually everyone kept coming, but he kept WINNING. So, after being told one too many times he could not make peace with me without his councils say so, capturing him, and then ransoming him back to his kinsmen, I finally took the plunge. I sliced his head off. Turns out they're like tic tacs. Everytime I got in conflict with a faction leader, I'd ask for peace. They'd say they can't decide that on their own. I beat them. I love the Mount and Blade games and have been really enjoying Bannerlord, but I'm fairly new to PC gaming g and not very knowledgeable. From the videos i have seen everyone uses one hander+shields. Why??? The only viable weapons in this game are 2 handed axes because of their aoe damage and polearms are terrible am i not doing something right as i have used one handers and polearms in my first playthrough that took 30 hours then for the fun of it used an axe once and had to restart and i have been using two hander axes ever since (im at 300+ hours now) also why is everyone using throwing weapons while you can get a bound crossy to kill in a single shot while also having 44 projectiles instead of 10-15. So I tried to get the Realistic combat MOD for V1.7.0/1.7.1 up and running. I had unzipped the file and put it in to the modules folder and run the Unlock DLL's MOD (in all the MOD folders just to be sure) that confirmed it had done its thing. ​ When I fire up the launcher and try to click the box to activate the MOD nothing happens, there is a red exclamation mark by the MOD title. Why is it I've single handedly won at least 13-15 fiefs and castles for the sturgians but I'm not even an option to receive one anymore, I got one in like the middle of my playthrough (almost 90 hours) and haven't even seen my name in the option to give it to me its just randos who are clan level 5. Hello, I've gone and exterminate the Vlandians, captured all their castles and towns, and execute all their nobles, and use the encyclopedia to track its leader Thomund to be at Sargot, but once I reach Sargot I couldn't find the noble anywhere, not in the keep, the dungeon, or the tavern area. I waited a while, and go around to other places, come back and he's still missing, and it's the latest update in the encyclopedia. No matter what I do it's always the same three choices. I can never grant them to myself, I can't grant them to a clan with 0, and it doesn't matter how many the biggest clan has (4 and counting). Starting to get really furious with this nonsense. It even forces a vote on a new fief if I already manually granted it at a cost of influence to someone else, which is SUPER BS! My army is made into 3rds, 1/3 being infantry at ~200 troops, ~200 Calvary, and ~200 archers. Calvary dominates overall but I just feel like my archers underperform. Like I should be able to wipe out a ton of men with arrows alone just like in the first game but really the Calvary just decimates. I'll try to make a list of things I would like to have in Bannerlord and things I read others like to see. Steam workshop - for obvious reasons Bring back the old unit selection before 1.7 and integrate it into the new system. - the new system is pretty decent but would be even better if we could still adjust the eight groups individually. Pikemen are kind of useless atm because they get mixed into Infantry. Diplomacy is a pain in the a... - sending out Herolds or a companion to deliver a massage or seeking a lord and complete a quest would be nice to have. Peace should have a cooldown as well as war declaration. AI army's should take a longer time to regain troops after a defeat. - And / or they should have to take the garrison themselves. But defeating an army of 1000 and releasing the lords only to have them attack 3 Minutes later with the same force is really not that funny... Sally out battles - I know they are work in progress but real battles in front of ...

So I’ve started my faction and have carved out a small kingdom, but it’s really hard for me to grow it with jut my family and companions. My remaining settlements are all Aserai and they sent everything they had at me repeatedly so I executed nearly all of them as I captured them and now everyone hates me. I have very high charm, is there any way I can maybe still win people over and bring new clans into my kingdom or at least get them not to hate me? By the time they are 18 you either have 1-2 other factions left that are barely half the strength combined and they are fighting each other. the game is way too easy and the ai is just weird for example i choose vlandia as it is in a great spot right next to the tasty fian champions and only aserai to be wary of and i just capture all the cities of castles of battania in the first war they declare but the ai in my 2000 day playthrough didnt even take a single city while only having 3000 strength aserai and sturgia was busy fighting me so they literally only had battania to worry about and they did not take a single castle???? its just me in southern empire thats literally having a war with north west empires + sturgia and asera at the same time capturing cities and actually progressing the map like my oldest kid is 8 years old and there is only vlandia and sturgia left with a single north empire city by the time the kids 18 i will most likely finish capturing every city. submitted...

I bought this game a few months ago and the learning curve made me take a little break. I just recently picked it up and I got way into it and wanted to play around with it a little. Just like the title says, I've been running into a problem every single time I enter any battles whatsoever, where it's either troops I have currently, or new troops that I just hired, will automatically cluster into one unit group regardless of what specification I have that unit group set as. Most commonly, every infantry unit I use (I.E. my Aserai axeman) will just automatically move into the infantry grouping that I have set as shields, even though I have taken so much time to try and move the correct troops into the unit groups I want them in. It happens every single time I enter the prep phase of any battle, along with the units won't stay in the formations I had them in during the prep phase, and will revert back to the line formation when I start the battle. What unit combinations have you found useful now that you can more easily mix units? So far I think Vlandia is the real winner. You can now easily separate your bow archers from crossbows by favoring shields in one group. The Voulgier is one of the only units with a polearm and a throwing weapon so it is really easy to get him in a group alone to have a strike or line break formation. If you set your infantry to prefer heavy armor then have your traditional archers in a mixed unit with infantry it will put low level infantry in that group. It all works so well now. Update: I'm unable to fire them :( I noticed my son "Fercread" was running a bit slow(1.0), so I wanted to give the poor lad a mount or something, but when I opened his inventory, it was 10 of every item in the game. I'd love to get into this game but I believe I have some form of unchecked retardation that prevents me from winning any battles that I personally oversee even if I have a distinct advantage. I'll try and post videos tomorrow but I lost around 10 full-morale infantrymen in a proper formation to 15 looters (Not bandits, looters) on the easiest difficulty. Every time I've tried cavalry charges they all instantly die to swordmen which isn't how it's supposed to go, I'm sure you could get a random person off of the street who's never heard of an RTS game before in their entire life and could win any scenario that I've lost and I can only really possibly attribute it to me just being intrinsically not intelligent enough to actually play this game. Started a new sandbox campaign as a Battanian lad and lately I’ve been traversing the whole map completing the occasional side quest, trading, hunting brigands, and going on the tournament circuit. In my first campaign, I joined a faction way too early and got sucked into endless war which I want to avoid here, but what else can I do? Because it seems pretty freakin stupid. I took a town, and have beaten 4 big armies and captured many of the enemies leaders and thy want ME to pay THEM 1600/day for peace, which is bull! How is this determined/calculated??? I've seen claims it depends on your victories/performance in the war, but I see no evidence of it! As title, I think the main problem with all the Mount and Blade is that anyone can just go around the castle at the border of a kingdom and attack the cities and villages deep inside a kingdom. How would you guys think if castles and cities can block the main road and all enemies of that kingdom can't pass unless they take that castle, just like Total War. And maybe they can sneak around it by go into the wilderness but will be much slower and take casualties depending on the size of the troop. Also you can set up passes in where you think it's a critical spot and place troops there to defend it. Minor factions inside kingdom territory will be more important since they can be hired by other kingdoms and lay waste to where the main troops can't reach. Local lords can go around their occupied fiefs wilth less to no punishment and player can do so by hiring local guide. What do you of such a system? While visiting a lady, I somehow had a menu pop up that I'd never seen before. I should've grabbed a screenshot but didn't. It showed that my current odds of successfully wooing her were 0, and guaranteed success was at 20 rep. I assume it somehow glitched out and gave me a debug menu of some sort. The F6 command does shit I wish I could do. For Calvary I've seen Flanking/Flanking From the Middle (left, right), "defending high ground", Charging the middle, charging the rear. Horse archers have some as well you cant do manually, like Skirmishing Sparsely, Keeping the distance, Skirmishing Flanks this also made me ocassionally split my forces in smaller groups so i could have like one static arrow line, while the other 20% skirmishes, then pull em back. At this point I have 9 total parties in my kingdom and 5 towns to try and protect. I'm kinda at a standstill where I have to pay tribute the moment someone looks at me. Just as title said. What's the point of having cities or castles in this game? Tax income is dogshit, penalities for owner culture are huge, you need to unkeep whole garnison, your villages keep gettin raided and castles sieged. I apologize. I am new to the game. I have seen this addressed before with answers stating to go to the clan menu and click create kingdom in the top right once I have finished all the quest requirements. Recently started playing on the new update with all the cool stuff. I did not lag in the previous version. Everything was pretty smooth. Now my game stutters so much. Our clan got Uthelaim castle after the war with Battania (Best castle in-game, two bound villages produce Battanian noble line).I spend the whole peaceful winter there waiting with my wife Swana in my party and nothing happend ):. I think the vanilla game is rather dreadful in how it plays after putting about 260 hours into it, was looking for some "Can't go without" mods that the community recommends. Was already looking at the Realistic Battle mod. Was also hoping for one that removes the stupid troop colors. Hey, I don't mean playable as in able to play at all. I don't care for graphics, fps or battlesize yet. The real problem is the command controls. What do you think? I have a lot of archers, and some I need to get some experience for and level up. When fighting, say, looters, I would like these archers to be in a formation together so that I may set them to fire, and my experienced maxed archers to hold their fire, thereby giving them more experience. In the previous system, this could be achieved by assigning them to their own formation. I recently started a new game on 1.7 and last I played was 1.5 or 6, and I see alot have changed. In my new save I was able to get a ton of battaian fian. And fairly early game which my clan is still tier 1, I was able to capture a city that rebelled and I’m using that as my base of operations for now. If I joined an group as a mercenary would it forfeit my city to that culture/civ if I decided to leave? Is smithing still OP? I been stocking up my garrison with fian champions and it’s starting to add up in money so I’m trying to get more money for workshops. In my recent playthrough Garrios can't leave Zeonica. It has been like 50 days. He just stay here no matter what. We are ať war with 2 factions. I need him to come out so he can be poisoned by his enemies and i can replace him. Last time i have seen him in field was near Jalamarys where ..... of the hand captured him. So I have been playing bannerlord for a little while now and I have just created my kingdom. I already have a couple of castles and cities that were given to me from the western empire because I was a vassal. But now I have a problem. I have wayyyyy to much defenders in my castles and cities and I do not know how to get ride of them. I am dropping about 3k coins a day and I am nearly bankrupt.
