Did they nerf vanilla warband?

Ever since the recent updates the units have felt weakerr. I'm actually losing 1 swadian knight each battle regardless if 100v 170 or 300, my rhodoks feel useless and i'm not taking castles with a hundred huscarls. I'm on X1 btw.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
