I've only tried it for a day - just getting back into M&B after a long hiatus - and Silverstag is just great. It hits all the right buttons for me.
It retains many elements of the base game that were good (thanks Taleworlds), puts in easily toggled options for some alterations, and makes innumerable quality of life enhancements.
Now I have to figure out the strategy anew - will Shieldmaidens suffice into end-game, or will I have to stuff my armies once again with Huscarls? How exactly should I level up my companions to make them suitable for kingdom management roles? What kind of personal abilities are good for what kind of personal roles? What is the best way now to maximize tournament earnings and enterprise cash flow?
But this is all to the good. Learning a new game means I've just practically obtained a new game. Every single day... is Xmas day...
So, thanks to u/windyplains for a terrific job.
I just want to give props to Silverstag here, but... if anyone has any answers for my questions, I'd be most grateful.
