Star Wars Conquest/Warband

So i have warband from GOG and i'm trying to install the Star Wars Conquest mod, but the videos i've seen are all saying its for just regular mount and blade, do i need that as well? I get an error on startup that is hlsl something or another and then the menu loads but there's nothing there :/
