Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. Somehow became criminal in own clan

I am the leader of my clan and have Danustica as a settlement. I did the merchants can’t sell goods in city quest and even though I’m the ruler of the city and the clan, my criminal rating went up by 30 and it resulted in me getting negative influence. Is this normal?
