And I love every improvement or changement so far. Well I am 1 hour into a new campaign but I liked th new stealth system and just looking at the encyclopedia relations seems a bit more complex. Loved also the new small things such as troops shouting down your orders. So far soon cool BUT There is one thing which really suck for me and that is the new light system. I really can't see shit in battles, unless with a sun shining at midday. Other than that impossible to fight in the shadows at dawn or even afternoon. And I can't tell if the ai is better or I simply suck. Please tell me there is a fix to this because battles are just becoming a frustrating nightmare... submitted by /u/Plopita [link] [comments]
Only four would be even worth considering at all because of their personalities:
Matheld - Martial
Ymira - Good Natured
Firentis - Upstanding
Jeremus - Good Natured
The others have shitty personalities and will easily betray you as soon as they get the chance.
First of all, neither Jeremus nor Ymira are nobles, and making them into vassals will cost you -2-5 relations with every lord on the map (even your other companion vassals). Secondly, one of them should be your medic, and you'd be insane to give away your 10 surgery companion for the sake of one more vassal. Thirdly, Matheld dislikes both of them, so it is impossible to keep them all in the party together to level them up enough.
You will need to level them up a lot too. Each level only gives them 15 renown, which is pathetic. At level 40, they will only have 600 renown, when you can easily find lords with over 1000 renown. Which would you rather have, a level 40 companion or a shitty 600 renown vassal? Just do yourself a favor, keep your companions and just wait for good lords to defect. Odds are they'll be more loyal anyway.
