Taking lords prisoner?

Have not played since war sails first released. What’s up with taking lords prisoner now? Before when you’d defeat a party it aways gave you the option, now it seems like half the time they just slip away somehow. Is the game worth buying now?

I heared in the beginning there was performance problems, many bugs and such but since the game is out now for a good while i just wanted to ask if you feel its definetly worth getting now? Because im very interested in palaying these castle sieges, they look so cool on yt :D.
