Disappointed Diplomacy

Just got back into the game agter the war sails expansion. And I am disappointed at the shallow level of fiplomacy still in the game. So many aded features and yet they could not add a truce mechanic...or even a way to influence nobles to change policy. Furthermore the changes they made are banal and redundant.. Explain to me why my "ALLY" Just deckared war on me after i PAID them 500k money to attack another faction. Keep in mind this was with 72 days remaining on the alliance. Can't get tier 5 blades in smithing

Basically title, for my last 2 playthroughs, I can't seem to get tier 5 blade parts for smithing for the life of me. I'm smelting 60k worth swords, or for example if I'm searching for the "Mountain Blade" part, I smelt "Battanian Mountain Sword"s, things that match etc. but no, I'm not getting any blades, best I can get is tier 4 blades, any workaround? I've tried smelting/crafting things other than swords too, although not excessively.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
