Disappointed Diplomacy

Just got back into the game agter the war sails expansion. And I am disappointed at the shallow level of fiplomacy still in the game. So many aded features and yet they could not add a truce mechanic...or even a way to influence nobles to change policy. Furthermore the changes they made are banal and redundant.. Explain to me why my "ALLY" Just deckared war on me after i PAID them 500k money to attack another faction. Keep in mind this was with 72 days remaining on the alliance. Peace Tribute Removal

Any way to remove tributes when making peace? Any specific mods? Constantly at war and making peace always ends with me paying tributes and I think it is a big reason 9/10 vassals are “very poor” despite many of them holding at least one town and a few castles.

I am not sure what to do about this and it’s becoming a problem because vassals are not recruiting more than 20-30 soldiers and it’s making the wars much more difficult.

Any help would be appreciated!
