Favorite way to play hands down: don’t even think of starting a faction till late late game, tournament hop/play merchant till you get businesses maybe later accept a vassalage for renown and a town to farm taxes but this is optional. Find every single claimant and overthrow all the preset kings. Then with the world knowing your the literal Kingmaker it’s time to become the Conquerer. Rinse and repeat
