ASSASSINATION UPDATE: Empress Ira in Critical Condition, Phadon Attempts Coup

While the imperial surgeons in Lycaron labor in total silence to pull Empress Ira back from the brink of death after the assassination attempt , the Senate moves to seize her crown. Archon Phadon, long the Empress's most venomous political rival in the capital, believed the throne was ripe for the taking. As the grandson of Emperor Neretzes, he viewed the imperial seat as his birthright, desperate to erase the humiliating disaster at the Battle of Pendraic that had stripped House Neretzes of the crown. He moved into the grand hall with purse-strings open, attempting to buy the palatine guards on the spot. Phadon assumed there was no one left to stop him. What does warband do better than bannerlord?

Is it just down to taste? Because I like a lot of the armor and models, especially in mods like pendor. But it just doesn't feel like I'm having fun. Trading isn't as interesting, Combat is ok but somewhat jankier. Its mechanics are similar to bannerlord just slightly worse. I guess what I'm asking is what makes it fun for you?

Detailed Mariner Unit Analysis/Tier List for Campaign

TL;DR Tier List. These are my personal notes and I acknowledge it is just my opinion, just posted to hopefully help others S: Imperial Naute A: Battanian Skipari, Vlandian Nauta, Nord Huscarl, B: Sturgian Reaver, Nord Berserkr, Aserai Bahriyyah, C: Corsair Chief, Nord Skjaldbrestir, Nord Chosen of the Sky-God, Sea Raider Chief D: Various Convoy Guards, Nord Ulfhedinn, F: Nord Youngling Testing is done in actual campaign as well as using custom battles and the Retinue mod to look directly at stats/equipment. General Observations: Shields are required, otherwise you get shredded by ranged attacks. Skills and ship upgrades can boost shield health massively, with some like the Nord Decorated Shield crossing 2,000 hp! I've seen Huscarls with 20+ Javelins in their unbroken shield at the end of a battle. I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story.
