Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. Supporters are pointless

This random villager wants me to pay him 60k denars so he can give me 0.05 influence daily. Ever since they got rid of influence decay it's been practically infinite anyway though. Am I missing something?
