Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Is there an up to date mod that increases Clan limit?

There is a popular one on nexus that is out of date and crashes and i couldn't seem to find any recent ones. For those who don't know once you reach around 55-60 clan members the game hard caps pregnancies and no one in your clan can get pregnant, other than the player.
