Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. My brother is insanely short??

Started a campaign, I’m several hours in, got my brother back and he’s TINY! Like embarrassingly small? So are my other two siblings even after coming of age. Is this going to screw up my whole clan now? Is everyone going to be super short? What happens when my character dies? Will I play as one of my short family members? Will all my generals and lords be short? I don’t want to start over since I’m so many hours in but it’s really jarring seeing a 3 foot tall Viking
