Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Forging special weapon

So I tried to craft a spear with the throwing perks in it like the pillum but no matter what combinations I try, I can't get it.

Is there a mod for that or I just dosen't do it right?

(no i don't want to use javelin, just one spear that i can throw)
