Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Crashes During Battle

I keep crashing during battles. I have no mods running at all. it only seems to happen when it's a larger battle, it's fine when it's smaller. But I can't get through a single siege without turning my settings do to minimum. I can other games like battlefield 6 just fine though?
