Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Sea battle visuals for Warsails

Anyone else having the issue of the waves at sea clipping through their ship and cascading over all decks involved? Doesn't effect gameplay but it looks visually unappealing, like the boat and waves are not sync'd. Hoping to find a solution here for it.
