Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. MY BROTHERS GOT F#CKING RIZZ!!

Like not only did he get a marriage proposal for Rhagea he also got one for Corein, Svlind, and Arwa. I rejected Corein and Svlind because I want a more eastern focused campaign and because my brother in my past life married Corein. As for Arwa I’m saving her for my character. All in all, why in every universe my brother lives it up with the 10’s and I got stuck with Elys that one time!!!!
