Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. How does one “remove” the High King?

Trying to become ruler of the Nords. Halthdar died before I could even become a vassal and Sidunric took over as king, but this guy is like Gandhi and never wants to go to war with anyone. I’ve been trying to get him captured so I can prison break him and let the guards take him out but haven’t had any luck. Any suggestions?
