Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. how can i get decent soldiers quick?

whenever i start a new game and i acquire a ton of recruits, we join a battle and most of them die, and barely some even level up. is there an easier way to get to a horseman or footman? very frustrating and costly
