Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. How do you personally find best to make money and keep steady income without tournaments?

What do you buy where, and how do you get the funds to do so? I'm not new to the game, but I'm certainly foul at the trade and financial aspect of the game, and I'd like to know where I should invest my money first, before building armies and conquering my enemies.
