STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Cant even load Vanilla

Im so confused with this game. Im new to mods. Ive played Realm of Thrones and Old Realms. Had some fun and now I want to go back to Vanilla....but I cant? My original game i thought I had multiple saves on, but it just shows one (im guessing they got saved over by auto save) but the original one doesnt work. I tried reloading it with same mods...then with no mods. Then tried loading the game as pure vanilla on a new save...still nothing. This is the crash report from loading my first playthrough. Can someone please help me again?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
