STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. I am not the main character in my own campaign.

This bloke was hired by a mercenary clan working for Rhagaea. Then he and Rhagaea fell in love and had 3 kids. Then he also fell in love with another women in Rhagaea's clan, and married her into the mercenary clan.

I am not the main character, Euchor the Surgeon is.

The mods that made this happen are Living Wanderers and Dramalord.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
