STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. I get it now...

I understand the joy and whimsy of playing as a Battanian, throw away your standards, your cleanliness, everything you hold up for yourself, just grab a fucking sword and run into the horde of Vladian Calvary.

I literally just began this run a few hours ago after getting bored winning with the Khuzaits (Somehow with 3/4rd of the world captured we still suck ass trying to fight the Aserai and Vladians) and holy hell it's fun, I just grab a lot of drunk bearded men and charge into battle without a care in the world, just like my German Ancestors used to.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
