STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Future Empress Ira prefers being a tournament fighter if these are the fights she gets.

I'm playing this campaign as Ira, Rhagaea's daughter. The idea is that Ira is going on a worldly adventure to prove to everyone she should be the Empress of Calradia. And she's a very accomplished arena fighter.

Rhagaea wants to marry Ira off to a responsible husband, but in my game Ira eloped with Kjarvon, a nord from Hvalvik. And they went on a seafaring adventure together.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
