I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Is now a good time to try Bannerlord again to play with some mods?

i wanna try The Old Realms for Bannerlord or SHOKUHO out but idk if the game is stable for mods yet after a DLC came out.

I mainly played the game near launch, also does the game have content now?
