I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Why do new clans spawn with no female members?

If you make a new clan by rewarding one of your companions, the new clan spawns with only male members (unless it was a female companion you rewarded).

Let's say you've formed a new kingdom and you're trying to populate it with clans, if there are no women, these clans are basically doomed to die out.

It seems like a really odd design choice.
