Disappointed Diplomacy

Just got back into the game agter the war sails expansion. And I am disappointed at the shallow level of fiplomacy still in the game. So many aded features and yet they could not add a truce mechanic...or even a way to influence nobles to change policy. Furthermore the changes they made are banal and redundant.. Explain to me why my "ALLY" Just deckared war on me after i PAID them 500k money to attack another faction. Keep in mind this was with 72 days remaining on the alliance. How do I make money early game?

Just bought the game and looking for some help.

I know that caravans/workshops are a great way to get money but I can't seem to get above the first 10k, let alone 20k.

I am currently trading (buying low and selling high) but it doesn't seem to be lucrative. And I can't seem to catch bandits efficiently to farm them.

How the hell am I supposed to make money?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
