Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Are there any mods that add a 'Hitstop' to combat?

I've played a lot of M&B, and I love the swordplay. That being said, I'm interested in seeing what it would be like to have a fight where the sword actually feels like it's cutting through armor as opposed to butter. If there aren't any, does anybody know which files I would need to adjust to create my own mod?
