Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Viking Conquest Combat

I've never been able to get into VC, and tried yet again today. To me it seems like the combat. I can't quite put my finger on the one change that I don't like but it always just seems off to me. I realize its harder, which I appreciate. The damage always seems so high to me. Often I get hit once... and die while others all around me are taking multiple blows. I do not like the permanent wounds although I know many here do. Thoughts?

Which do you prefer the Warband style combat or Viking Conquest?
