I think the best thing about the Singleplayer is the molding of nations

I play the Floris mod and generally enlist as a soldier for my first in-game year (almost always under a king I want to be a vassal for/ powerful lord with marriagable daughter) so I see a lot of time pass by quite quickly. In my current game I've seen Dhirim change hands like eight times already, the Vaegirs expanding throughout Nordic territory before being annihilated by the Khergits, who in turn were forced north by Sarranids, who in turn were forced north by Rhodoks. Swadia is now reduced to four measely castles, the Nords and Rhodoks are duking it out over who gets the mid-map, and the Khergits are trying to finish what everyone else started by wiping Harlaus off the face of Calradia. So much in less than an in-game year, and I know that if I start a new game it could all go very differently, almost none of it having anything to do with me (at least at the start.)
