What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? Becoming a king 1257 AD

Greetings, Lords!

I have been playing 1257 for some while now (I've played this save on/off for years). By now I have helped Curonians pretty much destroy the Teutonic order of Livonia, Samagotians and some other minor factions.

I hold the 2 major cities, 2 castles and bunch of fiefs (everything upgraded and not raided in years), I've got more renown than any other in my faction, high honor, friendly with everyone (~80%+) and 500 000 gold in my pocket. Army of about 2k elite men, hundreds of elite cavalry.

SO! I want to take over! :D As I understand, even in AD 1257 you can't become king of an existing faction? I tried starting civil war, but pretty much everyone jumped to my throat. I can hold of 1:40 in a castle defense, but I can't hold against ~30k soldiers. So can't I marry a daughter of a king or smthn? Or just have other lords pick me as their king?

What would be my best option, if there is one?

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
