What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? Can't launch game from Steam?

I've been having a weird issue with Warband; whenever I try to launch the game, it almost immediately closes. Steam says I'm playing for a few moments, but the game never comes up - not even the module selection screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing changed, even when I made sure to remove everything - even my modules folder. Curiously, when I use WSE v3.2 the game launches just fine, but unfortunately that generally locks me out of playing multiplayer.

Verifying the cache causes steam to find a problem and fix it, which as far as I can tell only recreates the steam_appid.txt file. Steam reports a 0-byte download that takes a very long time to finish, and the only changed file is that one. This has no effect on my ability to play the game.

Running the game in compatibility mode hasn't helped either, and neither has starting the game without steam active. mb_warband.exe seems to not work whatsoever.

I tried deleting rgl_config, but that didn't do anything either.

I'm completely out of ideas as to what exactly the problem is! I haven't changed anything about my system since I successfully played it last, as far as I know, and it still works perfectly fine using WSE.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
