Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. [Gekokujo 3.1] Mod crashes on the loading screen

This isn't a problem with 3.0 or any other mods that I run, but whenever I install the contents of the 3.1 patch to over to the main folder, the game never starts. It shows a loading screen for native, then crashes momentarily after.

I don't think I'm installing the patch incorrectly, I cut and paste the contents of the 3.1 patch over the old files to replace them.

I use a macbook pro, and the 3.0 folder I am using is from moddb (official full installer)
