Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Shogun RP 2 (SRP2) mod for Mount & Blade: Warband

Hey all! Lockethot here, and I'm happy to get to work on this project! This mod was originally made by Ramaraunt, a philanthropist in the Taleworlds community who has disappeared lately. However, before he left, he created many great things, including a mod called ShogunRP, which brought Persistent World style gameplay to Japan. The mod was mainly played by LegionRP, a private role play group who used the mod for events. Today, I'm glad to announce that I have started work on a public version of this old mod, and I am already hosting both a 100 slot EU and a 100 slot NA server! However, please note that ShogunRP is a bit old and buggy, and will need some work before we can play on it again seriously. If you want to help bug testing, please get the final version of the original ShogunRP module here . You can also speak with me in my Discord community here . Since Ramaraunt was kind enough to do everything open source, it wont be long before I have this mod up to date, and even

Which mods allow advanced formations (Shield Wall , Wedge , etc)?

I've been spoiled and started with Warband VC. I've spent a good bit of time in AWOIAF but may have broken the campaign by killing Joffrey and Tywin. I've played a small bit of 3 Factions + Diplomacy mod too that also allows it. I'm set in my ways now and just want a line to creep it's way forward behind shields. What other mods can I start that allow these formations? Submitted September 30, 2018 at 01:01PM by BigFang https://ift.tt/2y4SbQu

[PoP] Question with siege reloads

I was defending a very long siege tonight and I was trying to figure out how the arrow refill works. I ended up going through four separate quivers and only twice did they refill on their own. Is there something I should be doing to get it to refill? For the length of the battle, I would have imagined it happening more than twice. Or do only a few kinds refill? 1,000 dead for reference on how long the siege lasted. Submitted September 30, 2018 at 02:16AM by maceman121 https://ift.tt/2QmKGMD

Mare Nordstrum - Calradic Campaign #33

A new front has been opened in Calradia. Sailing is second nature to any Nord, and King /u/Smug_Alpaca intends to capitalize on that strength. Beyond the icy reaches of the north lay a city practically begging to be plundered. As the occupation of Dhirim by the Kingdom of Vaegirs weakens its status as the trade hub of Calradia, the Swadian capital of Praven has become more and more wealthy due to it's naval shipping lanes Raiding these shipments have made the Nords a substantial amount of gold, but the Jarls have much grander ambitions. Ryibelet Castle will be host to a phony invasion by Nord footmen, while the newly reorganized Grand Nordic Fleet will sail to the beaches surrounding Tevarin Castle. Before they can attempt their amphibious invasion, The Nords will have to clash with the Swadian Royal Navy stationed at the capital. The Nordic Marines will fight with a savage ferocity, but the superior Swadian ships will prove to be a challenge to overcome. /u/KingHarlausOffici

I have been playing warband on my macbook all the time and I never had the spear as my mouse cursor icon. Wardogs of Rhodok

This is the story of Frederico Vicovaro, one of the most illustrious and famous Rhodoks in Calradic History. The famous Mercenary Captain of " Vicovaro's Wardogs " and later Duce of Yalen and El Capitano of the Rhodok Republic . Son to a Rhodok Condottieri and the daughter of a landless lord, he had a childhood filled with politics and fighting, Nobles and Merchants as he served as a simple courtier in the court of the Conte of Yalen whom his father served. But as soon as his father died during the Rhodok siege of Shariz and his mother died of Consumption, he was forced out into the streets. Eventually joining with a small mercenary warband, first as a errand boy, and later as a full fledged warrior. Fortunes come and go and eventually, after a particularly gruesome fight against Rhodok Deserters, his Captain died to a stray crossbow bolt shot, leaving Frederico to pick up his fellow men at arms and continue forward in a desperate bid for victory. Every man a Khan

But of a lurker here and I've got a little over a 100 hours total in the game spread out over about 3 years. Started a new campaign where I decided I'll just kinda go along with whatever happens so when I get an offer of vassalage from the Vaegirs I take it even though I'd spent most the game in Rhodok territory and hadn't even met a single Boyar yet. Things were going fairly well, we pushed the Nords out of every major city in their territory in a single war. But then the map and everything else started getting weird. So the Rhodoks have 7 cities 9 (including Narra and Halmar), the Vaegirs have 6, and the Khanate have 4. The Sarranids are full on isolationist and the Swadians and Nords might as well be gone from the game. Over the past two months or so ingame dozens of every faction have defected to the Khanate and now I'd say about a third of the Lords in the game are Noyars. Is this the way it's supposed to happen? I would figure they would've ended u

Anyone else hate the randomness of the tournaments?

When I'm given a sword and shield I can easily win the tournament, but then if I ever end up with that awful lance (spent 10 mins in the final 1v1 trying to damage with that and I just couldn't) or a bow and arrow up against cavalry then I'm completely screwed. TIL that if the player has the highest party skill, the party gets the bonus to the skill even without the companions. For example a surgery of 10 on player will give the party a total of 14 Surgery without any points from companions.

I always thought you need one companion investing in points alongside yourself to get the bonus to skills. This greatly confused me when I imported my high level character to a fresh game and I saw bonuses on the party screen without any companions. DLC/MOD Idea: The Black Jacobins, and the Haitian Revolution

With the success of the Mount and Blade DLC, Napoleonic Wars, it has been shown that Mount and Blade is capable of operating during the time of the cannon artillery and line formation. Set during the same time period as the Napoleonic Wars, the Haitian Revolution featured similiar intellectual aspects, technology as in France during their revolution and republic, but the conflict in Haiti would prove to be much more suited for a Mount and Blade grand campaign. Here is why. The campaign in Mount and Blade is centered around the player who begins their career from humble beginnings, either as an impoverished noble or as a commoner. Through the player's own diligence they rise through the social ladder and can even become ruler of the entire country. In Haiti, this is exactly what happened. People, such as Toussaint Louverture, Henri Christophe, and Dessalines rose from being enslaved individuals to becoming generals, presidents, and even emperors. Leaders like Toussaint, or Bouk

Why I hate corpse-kicking. An absolute rant.

Preface: I am mad. I am also bad. I have been playing this game since beta and while I can top the scoreboard regularly, I still suck and lack skill overall. I try to fight well but I will never be great. I just sperged out on GK_TDM over this shit and the whole time I knew I was being a bitch. Ruined the fun time I was having. Corpse-kicking triggers me like nothing else. You already beat me. You already got the better of me. You don't need to kick my corpse like I was personally offending you. We are all trying to fight. We all make silly mistakes. We all ride our horses into walls accidently. We all get 1ko'd like idiots. We all shoot arrows and throw javelins like dirty ranged fuckers. We all fight with strange gear combos or goofy niche weapons. Do you honestly come on multi player, fight, and kill someone just to prove to them that they suck and deserve to be disrespected? Is that really why you fight? When I kill someone my thoughts about them usually end. I assume th

Beat the game finally (Warband - vanilla)

Finally sealed up my first win. About 200 hours into the game. Man what a grind. I was hoping to finish my game Friday or Saturday, but those guys just take forever to grind down. Near the end, I got so sick of it, I wasn't even bothering to add troops to the garrisons usually, just immediately move on to the next target. Take-aways for me: 1) Harlaus really is an asshole. My first start, I signed up with him because I heard Swadia was powerful. Dude gives every fief to himself! 2) Swadian knights are indeed the shizzle. Huscarls are great, but honestly for my money I'll just take the knights. They are devastating on the world map, and work fine in sieges for my money. 3) Rhodok crossbowmen are fearsome. Prepare your anus if you're going against them. 4) Surgery and training are far and away the best skills in the game. Surgery makes combat losses totally palatable, and training makes leveling new troops a breeze. I wound up having most of my party go for training 10

I'm thinking of just not even hiring an army and only getting a select few companions to have. I'm thinking of getting enough renown to go to tournaments and use that money to build enterprises and then get a huge army and become a mercenary for multiple factions and just help out and then become king that way. I have enterprises on almost all cities but half of them aren't functional as we're constantly at war. Unpopular Opinion

I play mount and blade on the easiest settings because it makes me feel like a badass. I see you guys talking about beating 200:1 odds and I’m over here on the easiest I can have, getting destroyed in multiplayer to the point I get kicked for being so bad, the whole shebang. But hey at least I have fun in my playthrough. Currently I have an army that consists of 60 huscarls, 40 swadian knights, and 35 or so vaegir marksmen. I have 750k+ denars, the best weapons and armor I could find, and there’s only 3 factions left in the game (one of which is my own). And yknow what it feels damn good to siege a castle of 500, get like 100 kills on my own, and only have 2 soldiers killed. Make fun all ya want, this game is so damn fun when you’re a badass. For real though, how do I make my early game not last 50 hours and actually do something productive?

I've been playing this game for uhhhhh about 300 hours now and still haven't realised how I should even begin.I always start slow and recruit like 120 peasants with my meagre cash and then become a vassal and loot some for more cash and get slaughtered, rinse and repeat. There are,I would imagine, some way more efficient strategies and ways to pull this off. It's become very tiring to me,this whole process of running around with 20 solidly trained men looking for bandits on the roads, only to watch like 5 of them die within one battle even though we're facing fucking unarmed bandits for fuck's sake. Having a tough time enjoying the Campaign.

I see a lot of posts from this sub about M&B campaign, and I thought it might be fun. Gave it a shot, the first hour or so is great, but it gets so damned tedious so quick. All I want to do is grow an army, fight for a kingdom, then make my own claim and make my own kingdom. But instead I have about 17 mass murderers running around in a pack doing "find this guy for 700g" quests. I can't even find the guy in time most of the time. Then there's this "kill bandits in the vicinity" quest that I spent hours on just to find out (on reddit) that if you didn't find that group of bandits immediately, you are now fucked. Is there something else I can do? Some way to get into being a mercenary without doing all these stupid tedious quests? Submitted September 23, 2018 at 10:16PM by MrDysprosium https://ift.tt/2xLVSux

The lands i have taken are specificly zones never my allies ( nords ) ever took before. I got 45 right to rule and over 900 renkown. Also my army limit is 130 so its enough to handle large enemies. Whenever i try to expand beyond two cities i got, everybody declares war on me. I can handle 3 factions at once but now everybody except nords are after me. I got total of two cities and two castles but i already plan to abandon the castles. So how can I expand? How can i make peace with most factions? Making quests for lords doesnt work much since whenever i leave my towns they go with 5 100+ armies to smash there. I have 4 vassals on me but they arent that good at wars. [PoP] How to start out as a king?

In the earlier stages of PoP it was easy being a monarch, everybody was chill about some new guy even with almost no right to rule to own land. Now in 3.9 as soon as you rebel atleast 1 faction ( mostly 2-3 ), maybe even one accross the map will declare war on you even if you have high right to rule. As usual i started out with 8 leadership, read a book and rebelled, now it's 10 leadership, 500,000 denars, all enterprises, full Lordy KO plate + Noldor stuff, 200-250 Hero Adventurers + 50-100 KO knights ( Usually Ebony Gauntlet, since Mounted ones are expensive/ cost inefficient or not as good in sieges ). In 3.9 gl with that, As soon as you take a fief, an entire kingdom suddenly unite, Baron Godric won't be hosting 24/7 feasts in his castle and 3,000+ guys will be at your doorstep. Tales of Haremus

It began in a remote part of the Kingdom of Rhodoks in Jelkala, a newly hired civilian levy named Haremus had been eating lunch inside the tavern. Awaiting his Lords summon to sally out to Swadia; the Kingdom was at war with the Swadians for raiding each others iron supply. Haremus currently runs a dye works in the city and makes about 3000 denars a week. Rhodoks need to look their best in fine clothing. He has chosen to serve as a skirmisher in the army of King Graveth. Eventually he was given an order to regroup outside the city in marching formation. He was in charge of defending the baggage train and ensuring that no bandits attempt to steal it. At mid-day they began marching through the mountain passes of the kingdom. As they passed through a large valley the scouts were sent ahead to inspect out the land. They swiftly rode back to the march and reported that it was safe to cross. Graveth halted the march at one point to check out the baggage. Haremus offered him some wine but

So I downloaded a save game editor (found here: https://www.moddb.com/games/mount-blade-warband/downloads/mount-blade-savegame-editor-converter ) in the hopes of editing a line or two in the save file to bring him back into my party, but I believe I lack the knowledge necessary to navigate through this program. Anyone with a bit more experience can give me a few tips? Submitted September 19, 2018 at 10:14AM by NeutralHavoc https://ift.tt/2NX1U5s

Disappearing companion choosen as minister?

I do the usual thing to create a kingdom, I conquer a castle, Harlaus is greedy, yadda yadda I rebel saying I want to keep my fiefs. First weird bug: I don't keep my castle, nor am I at war with Swadia, though I am at war with every other kingdom. It's as if I picked "renounce oath but give back fiefs", but I even reloaded to make sure I didn't misclick. Weeeeird. But I do appear as "leader of player faction". Anyway, the thing "you should appoint a minister" pops up. Ok, I pick Nizar, my right hand man. Luckily Vaegirs immediately assaults the ungarrisoned castle and conquers it, and I conquer it right back. Yayy, I'm not landess anymore. BUT the thing "pick a minister" pops up again. I can't pick Nizar as he isn't my party anymore. I pick Lezalit, and Nizar doesn't come back. If I ask a traveller in a tavern, they don't give me an option to ask about Nizar, as if he was still with me. Is this a known bug? wha

[POP] Need help with starting my kingdom

Most people create their own kingdom by asking a fief to be awarded to them and then rebelling if refused. My question is if it's possible to be released from my oath and give back my fiefs and then start my own kingdom WHILE keeping my old kingdom (Sarelon) an ally long enough to get a foothold in Pendor. If I have 100 faction relation with the sarelons, 100 rep with the king and have high relation with many sarelons nobles, will they still declare war on my kingdom asap? Another question I have is what happens when you ask to be release from your oath while married to a husband. Submitted September 19, 2018 at 12:17AM by jimmycm123 https://ift.tt/2MKGWCq

Capturing Heavy Garrisoned Cities?

Hello r/mountandblade , I have been playing Warband for some years now. I took a long break and have begun to play again last year. After playing for a while I have managed to become a monarch in singleplayer. I marshalled majority of my realms strength; we tried besieging a castle with about one thousand soldiers. I myself brought an army of around six hundred well trained soldiers. After an hour of fighting, my entire host lay dead upon the cities defenses and the enemy victorious. I'm never going to be able to recover the strength I previously owned. Any advice to rebuild my armies and capture this city? Thank you. -Cedarbeard, your friendly Rhodok Submitted September 18, 2018 at 08:35PM by Cedarbeard https://ift.tt/2D6k9Bg

What Bannerlord Multiplayer NEEDS

As excited as I am to engage in bigger battles with new variables in singleplayer (siege engines, etc), what I really have my hopes up for Bannerlord is the multiplayer, as multiplayer in games such as Mount & Blade, when done right (like in the sub's Caldaric Campaign), can be really enjoyable, the problem is that you need to be part of a community that pre-organizes such an event for it to be that immersive. There are so many possible multiplayer modes that could be incorporated into Bannerlord that take it so much further than the deathmatch or siege. There could be a campaign mode with regional servers, which could be like singleplayer but on regional servers, or maybe one fucking server, like a Mount & Blade MMO where you're recruited into a player warband or squad as you and your mates gradually recruit and train from a band of noobs with clubs until you have a sizable enough army of real players (and maybe NPCs, but there'd have to be a penalty for using N

[PoP] Playing without using Archery

So i just started a new character in PoP, planning to go all the way to full conquer, or at least a really succesful own Kingdom. I want to play this character without using Bow or Crossbow cause i feel like its way too good, and i always end up abusing it so i want the extra challenge. Every youtube video of people playing in late game its like, 1H Shield + Bow getting like 200 kills per battle from far. So the questions are... People that play without using Archery, how do you work arround it? Specially in sieges, i always ended up using bow every time. You just rely more on your army? Why do people forget about tournaments, when they need money?

Like, a lot of people ask how to feed and pay troops in times of peace, even if you have no fiefs, you could ALWAYS hunt for tournaments and bet 100 dinars on yourself each time, you will end up with 3500:4000 dinars after a single tournament. If you are struggling with money, always remember that at least 1 town is having a tournaments, that you could farm 3500:4000 dinars from. [PoP] Help with making a custom banner?

I'd like to make my own custom banner in PoP, but the mod uses higher resolution banners than the base game and other mods. Could anyone direct me to a blank template that's the same quality as the banners in this mod? The guide on moddb has the download for the base game banner, but as I stated previously it's much lower resolution. If a higher resolution blank banner is unavailable, could anyone give me advice on how to edit a current banner to make a plain white template so I can start from scratch? I use paint.net and I'll grab photoshop if I have to. Thanks in advance. Submitted September 17, 2018 at 11:37PM by ProUnicycler https://ift.tt/2MFj3vL

Weapon mastery a little testing

Vanilla Warband wanted to know how Weapon mastery worked, Google was not being helpful so did a little testing. Summary is, weapon mastery does not "technically" increase rate of proficiency gains. If you have 100 in one handed weapons it does not matter if you have 2 or 10 weapon mastery the next 40 points of proficiency will be gained at the same rate. Weapon mastery simply removes the penalty for hitting the soft cap. When you hit the soft cap a penalty is applied that gets worse and worse the further you get from the soft cap. You only have to keep weapon mastery 1 point ahead of the cap to get full benefit from it. For example with 140 proficiency and 0 weapon mastery (Soft cap of 60) only 19 points were gained from around 350 murders, where as someone with sufficient weapon mastery to not hit soft cap could gain 76 points for roughly the same damage. If that same character had 1 in weapon mastery (soft 100) they could have gained 27 point, with 2 weapon mastery (Soft

Suitable price for my Overpowered companion?

I'm currently working on a troop expansion for native Warband. Currently I've added over 100 new Companions. The companions are more expensive and higher level than the original 16. The most OP of the Companions is rocking 10 in every stat, high level and good weapon mastery. What do you think would be a suitable price for this companion? His gear is still pretty weak, as I prefer to gear them up myself. He is ment to be a late game addition to the team, and a potential Lord for your kingdom. Currently his price is set to 100.000 denars, but I feel this might be to low? Viking Conquest tips

So I rediscovered VC the other day and realised what an amazing module it is (majority of time spent on Native, ACOK/AWOIAF and NW) does anyone have any tips for starting out so that I can stay ahead of the ruffians and robbers that I keep having to fight by the skin of my teeth to beat? Normal difficulty, and I have nothing but a seax and a pitchfork... If I encounter ruffians with slings and there is 6+ of them, even with bobbing and weaving I keep getting blackbarred just before managing to kill them all. Can't afford the 300 peningas that villiage elders demand to be able to recruit form their village, so I'm stuck on my own at present... which is lonely and my Uhtred the Arseling needs his Leofric :( Any tips for early game shield/ranged/money acquisition would be majorly helpful at this point. Submitted September 17, 2018 at 11:59AM by JoeMeekPls https://ift.tt/2peuBNj

1257AD RELOADED SUBMOD v1.6

https://www.nexusmods.com/mbwarband/mods/6244 https://www.moddb.com/mods/anno-domini-1257/addons/1257-reloaded-submod v1.6 (requires a new game) Fixed/Improved a few scenes (most notably added a extra ladder to arab town siege scene). Nerfed horse archers and horse throwers. Fixed bug introduced in previous version where, due to a missing check, Guildmasters always told the player that he already had a enterprise in that town even if he didn't. Vanilla sounds are now used for man's death, hit and yell sounds in battle. Throwing weapons now do piercing damage but damage decreased. Added dismounted versions of Knight Order Serjeants and Knights. For now they can only be obtained by rescuing prisoners in the Crusader States and Teutonic Order areas. Crusader parties are now more varied (e.g. euro crusaders, scandinavian crusaders, etc). In the previous versions, if the player selected anything other than 3 branches for their CTT troops, troops from the 3

TLD is not what it used to be. Well done guys!

TLD used to be my favorite mod back in the M&B days and when the main dev was around (Ancientwanker, I think?). In the meanwhile, I think the guy disappeared and a group of devs started doing the best with what they had, adding much content and ideas and even porting the game to Warband, which I am now currently enjoying. That’s it for background, and I hope I got my TLD history straight. So, I spent quite some time, back in the day, having a ball with TLD. It was fun, challenging, and so on and so forth. You know the drill. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to pick it up once again and test my mettle. Being a very regular player of Pendor, going for a mostly infantry/archers (and now arquebusiers) army, and more recently playing and modifying AWOIAF (hopefully will soon post my changed lists, since I think they make the game more fun - I’ve adapted nearly all values for units, weapons, and more importantly - armors)... yeah, so, I know the game, and am not wholy bad at it. But

commander battles

I feel like paradox could make a game in-and-of-itself out of the commander battle mode from napoleonic wars. In those rare games where you managed to get all 20 people on your team to form one massive line, that was awesome. Mod Night - Bear Force II

What more has to be said. Welcome to Mod Night! Mod Night is a community event where we visit less popular/empty multiplayer mods that you wouldn't otherwise have a chance to try out. This month we'll be returning to Bear Force II , a Star Wars themed mod, featuring battles between the Republic, the Confederacy, the Rebels, and the Galactic Empire! You can find the download for the module here! The mod features guns (a.k.a blasters) very heavily, as well as some well known Star Wars melee weapons, and as such is quite different from Native. This casual event will be a great place for people to learn how this mod works, and try out the different classes. A recent update has added factions from the KOTOR universe into the game. Having a bow in the arena battles

This is my opinion, but I think getting a bow as your starter weapon in the arena battles is a gamechanger. As long as you keep your distance and hit head shots you're 100% going to win the grand prize. Just take someones sword as your secondary weapon so you don't get in trouble when your enemies get up close. Do you agree? Scared for my son

Scared for my son. He recently went insane and trashed his room. When we confronted him he ran out the front door, into the darkness. He kept yelling the phrase "BANNER LORD WHEN" as he thrashed around and broke nearly everything in his path. He screamed this phrase as he ran down the street, out of sight. We will have to wait until daytime to go searching for him. I got his little brother to tell me his password and I found a lot of images of a video game saved on his computer. Image files covered every screen and every folder. I used google to determine the pictures were of an upcoming game called Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord. He had hundreds upon hundreds (if not thousands) of pictures, clogging everywhere you went on his computer. What really disturbed me were the Word files I found that simply repeated "BANNERLORD WHEN" in different styles and fonts, repeated hundreds and thousands of times. What struck me as interesting is that I remembered him talking

How to get Warband Script Extender to recognise mods?

Prophesy of Pendor cheat suggestions

Hi friends, i recently started playing this mod and found it to be extra good fun. i've been watching veteran-player playthroughs on YouTube and they all use cheats, if i understand correctly there is only one cheat menu but what cheats can i use that don't completely tip the balance in my favour but make the game a little bit less ruthless and still enjoyable. [PoP] Which culture for my kingdom?

I plan on rebelling against the Baccus Empire soon and striking out on my own but I'm not sure which culture to choose for my new kingdom. I really love the Empire's crossbowmen and I find their other troops to be pretty good, not to mention that their various KOs are strong and have cool armor. However, I haven't used Pendor troops very much since I can't get my hands on as many like I can with the troops from other factions. How does the Pendor culture compare to the Empire's? Why would I choose that culture instead? Submitted September 15, 2018 at 09:15AM by ProUnicycler https://ift.tt/2MB4nOc
