i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. I just purchased bannerlord after seeing it was on sale on steam, hopped into game to see this weird background flickering whenever engaging in dialogue with npcs from the map.

Anyone else get this? I tried both e1.5.6 and e1.5.5 and they both have it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
