How to improve auto resolve outcomes?

I auto-resolve 90% of the fights I get into, what can I do for better results? Should I find 1-2 companions with high tactics skill and keep them in my party? Will that help? Do I have to assign them into any role? There is no slot for tactics role, is it enough if I just keep them in my party? As for sieges, should I keep a companion with high engineering skill and assign him in the engineering slot? Failed conversation, marriage impossible ?

Hey,

I've been looking to marry a character but I wasn't aware that failing the 'seduction discussion'(not sure how to call it) was redhibitory.

Is there a mod or a console command -not to marry the npc- but to make it like I never failed that discussion ? There must be a variable or something to edit but unfortunately I do not know what it is nor how to find it :/
