Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Siege glitched out?

I'm assisting someone in sieging a city but they left up a catapult in the back. The catapult ended up taking out the battering ram and all troop carriers that allowed them to bypass the wall. Eventually we got ladders up, but this guys men are all glitched and refuse to move out from on top of the wall. I'm now stuck in a giant ball of AI who refuse to climb down from the wall or go into ANY opening, doorways, stairs, etc while more and more AI climb the ladder. I physically cannot move and I think the only 3 or so remaining enemy troops are stationed in the hallway between the main door and the secondary door that you have to beat down. My troops refuse to beat down the first gate/door and his troops are too stupid to open the door and go kill them...what do I do? submitted by /u/imatworksoshhh [link] [comments]

I have more properties then the king what do I do?

So this is my first play through of warband on Xbox one and I am apart of the swadian kingdom. The king is devoted to me so I get all new properties. I want to start my own kingdom but I don’t want to loose all of my properties is there any way I can keep properties and start a new kingdom. submitted by /u/Tight_Specialist_394 [link] [comments]

Bushwacker's keep reverting to 2nd formation instead of 5th formation

I am not sure why this keeps happening i thought maybe i did something wrong but i purposely checked formations before and after a fight and it keeps switching between 2 and 5 i want them to be in 5 to train them up but the game keeps trolling me. it happens every so often after a few fights i checked other units like forest bandit and freebooter they seem ok just the bushwacker giving me issues. submitted by /u/ANNOFREAK [link] [comments]

PSA: Disciplinarian's back. Aaaand bugs...

Disciplinarian's back. Probably provisionally or maybe for good under leadership lvl 150 perk "Veteran's Respect" as of 1.5.5 latest hotfix. (because of course you'll run after bandits late-game when you have 150 leadership, not fight it out with enemy lords. You have free time, like that... Seriously, this perk needs to be way lower in the leadership tree). And there's a bug involving it. Not sure of the extent, but you can't upgrade bandits on their regular (bandit) upgrade path at all without the perk. I couldn't upgrade a bushwacker to a freebooter as it said I lacked the perk... There goes my Forrest bandit auxiliary archers. submitted by /u/RedditorKain [link] [comments]

Immersive Helmets Mod

Does anyone know of a mod which restricts vision when wearing full-face helmets? I remember there was a great mod which did this for Warband and it was really awesome, I can't remember the name of it but it was set in 13th century Poland (I think). The Dune Sea - Calradic Tales (Community Event)

Event Story King Ragnar, looking to hold his newly captured southern foothold of Almerra, sent an invasion fleet to Jamiche Castle to secure a supply line to the starving castle. While the band of raiders were able to defeat the Khergits to capture Almerra, the Sarranids proved too great a challenge and forced the Nords to pull back . Desperate to get supplies through, King Ragnar sent a party with arms and provisions on a more indirect route through the desert to avoid Sarranid patrols. Another party of Nords are attacking Jamiche again in an attempt to provide a distraction. The king hopes that with the attack and the route of the relief party through largely uninhabited areas might allow them to remain undetected. Being unfamiliar with the region, the Nords were unaware of the existence of a trading post on their path. Travelling Sarranidian merchants reported sightings of hostile invaders, prompting a band of Sarranids being sent to investigate. In Meta Terms Welcome to the

Is prophesy of pendor dead?

I’ve been wondering this for a while, couldn’t find anything on the state of it at the moment. I wouldn’t be that upset if it was but I was just wondering. The only thing I’d really want changed at this point is to give the elecrai siege a unique drop or something as it remains the hardest challenge in the game and doesn’t really reward you if you win. Sometimes I can't attack other parties

Sometimes I'll be chasing another party on the overworld map and catch right up to them, and then.... nothing. I just keep chasing them, they just keep running. Sometimes we'll move in sync about an inch apart from each other, sometimes we're right on top of each other. Has this happened to others? submitted by /u/BlusterKerfuffle [link] [comments]

I am just wondering if anyone else is having troubles defending a town. Either it goes to the loading screen, then a CTD, or just plain old CTD. I don't know what to do at this point, as I can't really defend my cities. Maybe someone else has had this problem, or maybe it is just a mod error. Despite their recent efforts to fix sieges, there is still a long way to go here. Dont give up!

There is not a single strategy game today in which sieges are fun. It takes a lot of work to make this possible. In bannerlord, i can see the majority of development time going into sieges. It wouldn't surprise me if sieges alone set back the release date of bannerlord an addition 3 years. It hasn't been done yet, by any developer. We're talking several sets of AI working in conjunction with siege equipment, destructible environments, and various "tactical" triggers. Like knowing when its a good idea to use the window in an arrow tower rather than the roof. Or when to hold firm at the front gate versus chasing a nearby threat. This, among hundreds of other AI tweaks are what make sieges fun. I hope to see the AI take advantage of the rocks above the front gate as well. The team even took it to another level and set out to make this formula work on different architecture. When it would have been totes easier to simply copy and paste castle layouts with a differe

Regarding shop inventory - asking for a friend.

So let's say - completely hypothetically - that my ... uh... friend made hundreds of javelins and sold them to Monchug and his buddies and then those guys sold them all in Makeb and now there's a bunch of freaking javelins in the shop inventory. Do those ever go out of the shop inventory are are they stuck there forever? Of course I don't care, I'd never even dream of exploiting a broken smiting system but my friend really wants to know because Tyal is an easy capture for starting an independent kingdom and Makeb is the closest place with that sweet, sweet low price hardwood. Or so I've heard. From my friend. Yeah. submitted by /u/states_obvioustruths [link] [comments]

How to make use of governor skills

My character got a ton of skills that are very useful for castles, cities and villages, but I cant find a way to make use of them, as I cannot place myself as governor. [PoP] Enemy armies run towards the left side of the map every battle

In every single battle where the army is lead by the lord of another faction, all of his troops just make a beeline for the left side of the map and slowly move along it. This usually leads to the whole army bunching up and most cavalry dismounting. The only way I've found to avoid this is by sniping the lord and making the army charge, but is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? Lowering the skill ceiling in Bannerlord's combat killed its long-term appeal (for me)

I, like many here, waited a long time for Bannerlord. Got several thousand hours' worth on Warband, and much of it was on MP. I've heard and read many views on Warband's combat, and a lot of it really flies in the face of what made it appealing for players who have invested so much time over the years: its skill ceiling. I always love deceptively simple systems where it is easy (enough) to learn yet difficult to master and Warband was one of the games which epitomized this in my experience. When Bannerlord came out, I dove into it... and immediately discovered to my dismay how artificial delays on attack releasing and blocking were implemented which completed reduced the combat to base spamfests with no method to the madness. I don't know what has changed since then (I've just made my first foray into M&B stuff for months) but it doesn't look like much has been addressed despite others' outcry when it was launched. I honestly haven't been able to

Is it possible to add new animations with Bannerlord's modding tools?

I love the idea of having routing and cowering animations. For example, rather than having all units turn and run away with the standard run animation when the battle is lost, It would be a lot more immersive if they had a specific running animation where they turn and look over their shoulder, stumble and fall etc. A percentage of routing troups could also just cower in place, cover their head, drop to their knees etc. Injured animations would be great also, guys crawling on the ground, rolling around in pain. NPC Clans

This will probably fall on deaf ears but I've finally had to resign my current play through. I now have have 5 cities and endless castles and it is utterly impossible to get an NPC clan to join my faction. I have spent about 2-4 hours (irl time) wandering the map playing the mini game with literally everyone I can to try and get them to convert. If I can win the mini game, which does happen rarely, they want millions of gold. Millions! Why can't i offer them a city; take 3 just come fight for me!!!! Only thing i can do now is let the game run overnight while i sleep and *pray* to RN-Jesus I don't have a faction declare war on me. The only reason i don't have millions of gold IS the npc factions declaring war on me. they then take 'tribute' as i can't beat AI factions with only 650 men against three doomstacks of 1200 men each, and i can't get any more men as i can't convert anyone. SMH; FML Oh and if you're wondering how i got so many cities

noob to noob tips

I've only been playing a week so im by no means an expert, but after multiple restarts I feel I should share what i've learned as a new player 1: Research mods before you play. Not everyones cup of tea, but there are a lot of quality of life mods that feel like a natural part of the game. Don't drastically overhaul your game your first play through, but maybe look into smaller stuff. 2: Don't go for large armies of max tier troops too soon. You simply dont have the daily income to support that and if you spend all your gold paying troops just to lose them in one bad fight, youve essentially wasted gold that could be invested in trade/gear/companions 3: COMPANIONS! They are even more mandatory than warband imo, adding companions with "in formation" bonuses can drastically improve your soldiers efficiency, look around for different ones and find a group with skills you need 4: Don't immediately join a kingdom. May seem tempting to jump straight into fie

Is there a way to get a fief of your own culture other grinding to max trade?

A lot of the reason I play the game is for at least semi-RP reasons. I use only in-faction troops for my army, and try to keep my personal and companion armour consistent as well. An issue I’ve found though is that unless you’re playing Empire or your faction is getting its ass kicked, you essentially have no opportunities to get a settlement of your own culture. I’ve tried stealing a fief with influence as well but even with 1800 influence and being popular, no luck. Is there a reliable way to get past this? Trade seems to be one of the most annoying skills to grind so I’d rather not go down that route lol. submitted by /u/bobrossforPM [link] [comments]

Crafting

Hey, So I for the first time have decided to give smithing a go and I wanted to see what the potential was for selling weapons I've crafted is. I've been told selling a certain type of javelin is extremely profitable. I've started crafted basic javs and I seem to be unlocking the blueprints for mostly daggers. So my questions are: Is there a reliable way to unlock blueprints for a specific weapon type (in this case javs) or is it random? What weapons are easy to craft and sell for high profit? Any tips in general when it comes to crafting, what I should be doing, perks to take or what to avoid? Many thanks submitted by /u/RoboRetro [link] [comments]

Roguery Perk "Thieves Honor" seems like it could be awesome/cheesy

Level 150 Thieves Honor Status:Not Implemented Bandit type troops never defect from your party Bandit units in the formation you control deals 2% more damage. So basically what this seems to mean is that you could in theory have an ungodly large party of bandits. Since they'll never defect, party limits won't matter, pay won't matter, morale won't matter....if you're dedicated enough you could just keep collecting them. It's not implemented yet, so I'm sure we'll see a change to it, but it could be a fun thing for a playthrough submitted by /u/CrustyJohnson [link] [comments]

What are your experiences with enabling 'Death on Battlefield'

In general I like the idea of characters being able to die on the battlefield, theorethically it makes things way more dynamic. Also it might be a sad but beautiful moment if I lose a companion I built up a relationship with. Trouble with that is that there's game mechanics or story that would make me form a bond with a companion. However, I also like the idea of having new companions because some old one died. On the other hand it could just be frustrating to lose someone you leveled up very far, or even yourself and you just have to start over again. So what are your experiences with that? What would you recommend? submitted by /u/Nexessor [link] [comments]

So I finished the banner quest. And instead of pledging to an existing kingdom I created my own and attacked the southern Kingdom as they had just one town and I assumed they were the smallest threat. So now I have a Kingdom with one town, but no wars to expand. I don't really want to force myself into attacking another kingdom because I don't want to be a dick. Dragon Banner/Kingdom Forming Question

So, like many others, I “timed out” the main quest line. As far as I’m aware, I’m still able to form a kingdom, but I would like to complete the main quest if possible. All I can find on the main quest timing out is from back in April, is this something that was “fixed” in updates but doesn’t apply to old saves? Also another question, is there a way to form a kingdom as a vassal without getting the opinion penalty from all the clans? It seemed like they really want you to form a kingdom as a vassal since you can’t even get your own clan parties to follow you if you’re not part of a kingdom. I was really hoping Bannerlord would have a system where you could become independent without being a traitor like in Warband. Do they at least let you choose to leave the kingdom without opinion penalties if the king doesn’t give you land that you’ve personally conquered? submitted by /u/Etrvria [link] [comments]

Family quest issues

So I got to the part where you get Nogand back, and he joined my party only to become unavailable after I lost a battle where we got separated. I can put him back in my party, but can't equip gear on him (99% sure I could before) and he doesn't show up when trying to make a caravan. Can't make him governor of settlements, and if I try and make him lead a new party it says he's "currently in a quest" and therefore unavailable. I've tried making a new save file, changing his name, and a few other easy fixes, but none have worked. Also, I can't see my little brother and sister in Charas, even though it says they're there. Not sure if that's normal or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/bringgrapes [link] [comments]

I have a love-hate relationship with this game.

I just, I keep deleting it and then downloading it again. This is how it goes Do some quests(shitty quests btw) Start to build an army, roughly 70 to 80 Want to progress and capture a castle Can't because the castles usually have 200 and over men assigned to them. Wander around the map to look for things to do that would help me level up. Do the shitty quests in attempt to level up and get bored and delete the game. I have to be doing something wrong right? this game is fun I just know it, everybody else is having fun and I have fun (in the beginning). It's just boring when you get in army that's big enough to not be fucked with by any Bandits but too small to capture any Castle. And the quests, oh my god the quests. The ones where you have to go and find Bandits are fucking frustrating as hell Because the bandits are always moving and I can't bloody find them And the worst quests are the ones you get from the Lord's, where you have to go coll

Bring the co-op campaign at release

Just hire the dudes doing mods for co-op campaign or work together with them if necessary and bring the most requested multiplayer feature, the online (could be also just 2 player co-op better than nothing) campaign. It can't be that hard, it will bring huge amount of new players that will buy the game just to play with their friends. There's already corona, we can't meet with our friends easily, do this and I will personally gift 5 copies to my friends. If modders can do it you can do it too, if you can't, then just hire them since apparently they can do it and working remotely is the thing nowadays. Best part of Bannerlord

For me, the best part of Bannerlord is riding around on the steppes with about 20 horse archers and fighting Steppe Bandits. I tried a few run throughs with big armies, and got given some cities as a vassal a few times, but roaming around with a small group havibg horse-archery duels is so much fun... ...plus, one or two woolery workshops in Khuzait lands will more than cover the salary for 20 to 30 troops, so no money issues. submitted by /u/-Jaang- [link] [comments]

I don't even mind the radial menu, but a lot of function was removed and even some of the original shortcuts were changed such as shield formations, F6 otherwise known as autopilot, and face formation by holding F2 key. Pants-on-head battle ai.

I'm playing as a vassal of Vlandia. Our 900 strong army attacka the Sturgian 400 strong army. It should be a cake walk. We charge the enemy and slaughter them pretty good. Then, when we got them by the balls, the Vlandian ai decides he wants to slowly pull back across the map while the Sturgians get to freely slaughter the slowly retreating soldiers, causing atleast 200-300 needless casualties before the Vlandian ai finally decides to turn around and charge again. It's not the first time i've seen it, and it's extremely infuriating to watch. Has anyone else experienced this? submitted by /u/chrizeren [link] [comments]

What makes Inventory show all possible items?

A few months ago I was messing around with something and changed it the inventory to give a list of all possible inventory items when opened. You can just take whatever you want and go on with your day. That was a few patches ago and I completely forgot what makes it do that and how to make it stop(It lags the game a bit). Anyone have any idea of what causes this? submitted by /u/Cynoid [link] [comments]

Feasts in Bannerlord

Does anyone have any idea whether feasts will be added to the game and if so when? Cause that would make tournaments worth it again and would balance some peace time inbetween all the wars. A marriage feast with all the clans invloved would also be great cuz most of the time i have no idea whos who and im not gonna spend it searching on the encyclopedia... submitted by /u/Xrysobalanthsre [link] [comments]

Recommended mods for cinematic battles? I want to make more videos.

When Bannerlord first came out I started making some cinematic battle videos. ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjYoayTf-36s50fJDOhqYHA/videos ) I didn't put much effort into these and would try and rush them, making them in 1 day. But after taking a break from making videos for a few months I'd really like to spend a lot of time on some high quality cinematic battles. Now modding tools are out I think I could have a lot of fun doing so. Are there any mods that really improve the visual aspect of the game? Armour and weapon mods, collision, AI, formations, graphics etc. Any help with this would be great. Thanks submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Help

I got captured once in my campaign. Every time I escape captivity, with my one character on a horse, an enemy party attacks me right away. Why are they faster than my one character on a horse and how do I stop this cycle?? submitted by /u/ItAintGayItsCav [link] [comments]

Caravans are fucked right now

Started a new campaign today because my old one i wasn't sure how to play the game and by the time i was settling in, Other regions had stacked out units with hardly anything my chosen region could do. They kept bitching out and going for peace while tribute costed out the ass ... anyway real issue is i decided to make a caravan because they were fairly decent money before hand but this one the names disappear and to top it off all the caravans even the ai are fucked thought it was funny watching 15 caravans going from Marunath to a settlement until i realized my caravans were doing the same thing which explained why everything else is inflated out the ass i was enjoying the playthrough so much but it might be fucked thanks to this bug only real upside is this campaign would have OP manual trade...... submitted by /u/ANNOFREAK [link] [comments]

Any mods to reduce the odds of getting one shot in battle from range?

Okay, I'm somewhat enjoying the game, modless. One thing that is making my blood boil atm is that in the last 4 battles I've been one shot by an arrow / throwing spear every single time when ordering my troops around, I'm far away from the battle field on my horse tapping my F keys and I get hit in the neck by an arrow for 125 damage and my guys start scrambling. Why is this so common? Who is fucking sniping me like this each and every battle? I have spent hundreds of thousands of gold on my armour and I get one shot each time? I'm not even partaking in the bloody battle I'm on the bloody outskirts submitted by /u/LocusStandi [link] [comments]

Appraiser Perk Question

I have a question regarding the "Appraiser" perk, are horses considered equipment or trade goods? I mostly trade hoses from Askar and was wondering which one would benefit me the most? submitted by /u/VHSMikey [link] [comments]

I contest exactly half of that assertion.

What’s more profitable, riding the Butter Trail or hunting Sea Raiders?

I just recruited two generals with levels in Training, meaning my men will level up faster. However, their levels means I’ll lose Denars faster. If I was allied to anyone, this wouldn’t be a problem, I’d get like 300 a week to help pay for my army. But I’m not, and I can’t afford to lose more Knights or Sharpshooters to another passed off Vaegir. I’ve been hunting sea raiders lately, but I’m not sure exactly how profitable that’s turning out to be. I’ve heard of the Butter Trail and was thinking about traveling it for a while to buy and sell butter, but will that make me any more money than raider hunting? Also, one last thing, here’s my army plans: 20 Swadian knights, 10 Rhodok Sharpshooters, and 20 Nord Huscarls. I don’t know how expensive it’ll be, I just know it’ll be expensive. So, will I ever be able to pay for that and humiliate Vaegirs all day long, or will I eventually need to own land to help pay for all that? SP Campaign Start as a not-horse archer

So I generally play as a horse archer in M&B titles. I had done a few Kusait runs with an army of horse archers and was kinda board of it so I tried today to play as something else. My first though was to try a x-bow non-mounted guy. However, I feel like the start as anything but a horse archer is practically impossible. I play on all realistic difficulty damage. The game does not allow you to reload as an x-bow player. This pretty much dis-allows the typical kite strategy I use against looters early in the game. The other option is to go with thrown weapons. Thrown weapons expose you more so to the rocks the looters have and have a max ammo count of 8 (javelins, 2 stacks). I found that thrown weapons are a 2 shot kill to looters so if I hit all shots I would only be able to kill 4 looters, probably 3. This seems way worse than a bow: 30 shots 3 shot kill, 10 potential kills. Basically it seems that the game really wants you to play as a horse archer. Am I missing something?

Sad that the tactics perk for preplanning battles got removed. I really hope they one day either through mods or the devs that there is real battle strategy required or is possible.

I just want to play like a real roman army would with a triple line. Having only one line is not as fun but it is still quite awesome to see! I really hope we can get a CK diplomacy experience and a more rich battle strategy that also utilizes the world map and other possible forms of combat/attacking enemy kingdoms. Modding Villager Party Size

Has anyone been successful in changing villager and caravan party sizes in the XML files? I tried the "partytemplates.xml" file and ramped the numbers up x10 but nothing changed when I started a new campaign. submitted by /u/GettinFatByEatingPus [link] [comments]

Hello boyz is single-player playable now?

Been away from bannerlord for a couple month now, I got like 750 wins online in NA. Recently I want to circle back and play some campaign and just chill a bit at night, however I recall I used to need download a bunch of patches/mods/fixes form Nexus in order to play the game without being too annoyed by some bugs. Just wanna know how is current version doing in SP? Thanks! submitted by /u/civilengineeringdumb [link] [comments]

Please move army creation from kingdom tab (or just redo the tab because its terrible)

Requirements to create a kingdom are 1 fief and rank 4 clan. Thats 900 renown grind. During that grind I cant even use parties of my companions because for me to be able to create army I need to create my own kingdom to be able to access kingdom tab. On top of it if I conquered a fief I still cant negotiate with anyone because im not kingdom they say also it says that ill be able to create kingdom at tier3 but once you get there you need to get tier4 submitted by /u/qewasdqweasdqw [link] [comments]

What are the types of wanderers that can have a high trade skill I have none available.

I think its "swift" "spicevendor" and "bitterthought" My brother has a very high trade skill but apparently family cant head a caravan. Am I just shit out of luck of getting any caravans running? I have heard sometimes new wanderers spawn, but Im already 400 days in and I have seen none that can trade well. submitted by /u/Sinister-Mephisto [link] [comments]

Starting My own kingdom

I own two cities that make around 3/5K each and two traders that make 4k in total or should I wait till I have more city's and/or castles also should I do this when the khuzaits are weakend from all the ridiculous wars they are starting since I am a vassal of them because leaving their kingdom with those two city's in my control will make them declare war on me personally submitted by /u/Dengzai [link] [comments]

Latest patch ruined my game.

I dont know if i am the only one experiencing this. First lost my sturgian shock troops, they are now heavy sturgian speamen. Changed the aspect of many units, in many cases making them look silly now. But the worst part is now everybody is tinny. My character was huge and is now the same height as his wife who is almost an imp. All units have the same height now. Wtf taleworlds... submitted by /u/hunterzz7 [link] [comments]
