Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Map Movement speed dropped dramatically

Before this recent update, I was running on the map at around 5.0-6.0 depending on weight/prisoners.

After the patch and offloading a TON of stuff, I'm barely 3.1.

What am I missing? Why am I so slow now?
