Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

I found the Valyrian steel Arakh

I was searching for some bandits with skilled bravos as prisoners so I could finish the Varys quest,I came along this band of exiled knights that had as prisoner this Lady Korra, she is unfortunately just a soldier and not a companion,I tought it would be the right thing to post it here since on the mods wiki there is no information about the valyrian arakh. https://i.redd.it/kdec28a0vfv21.png Submitted April 30, 2019 at 01:44PM by serjesiIronSide http://bit.ly/2vu6D3E

How are families going to work in Bannerlord?

I know you can marry and choose an heir to live as if your character dies. But, how does it work if the castle/town you rule over is conquered by a rival lord? Is your family taken hostage or thrown into a dungeon? I think it would be cool if when this happens they either travel with your party and live in the camp OR you get a quest with a time limit like 30 days to rescue them or they will be executed. [AWOIAF] Can’t find whores or use ferry’s. Help?

I’m in build 4.2 right now. When I first started my current playthrough I had the option for whores in the “other activities” section in towns. But that option has disappeared and never come back. I haven’t seen it since about 50 days in. I’m currently on day 243. Is there a reason for this? I can only buy my troops ale for morale. Also I have yet to figure out what the ferry’s do in the map. I can’t interact with them, or I can but it’s just walking around the docks. Thanks in advance! Submitted April 30, 2019 at 12:14PM by Glader_Gaming http://bit.ly/2DFe64y

Game of Thrones Mod for Bannerlord Discussion

I wanted to start a discussion about what will likely be one of the most popular mods for Bannerlord, a full conversion into the Game of Thrones aka ASOIAF universe. Once its gets launched, I would imagine it also would even drive a sizable amount of sales for Talewords even, I've seen enough people post about buying CK2 just for the GoT mod that it would seem even more likely for Bannerlord. With no release date and no clear line of sight on many of the features of our beloved Bannerlord it may seem early to discuss how a mod could deliver the experience but still, I’d love to hear the general trends and desires of our community. I’m going to post my own wall of text and I’d love to read what other people want to see as well. Spoilers below. Setting Bannerlord will have a revolving door of lords and ladies dying of wars and sickness. New wars will rage and new vendettas will arise. If we took Bannerlord’s game rules unmodified - the ASOIAF universe would probably look radic

I love Warband and mods for it, but I'm honestly pretty terrible. I don't really understand all of the game's systems and mechanics and stuff like that. I still really enjoy it though. The Tides of War - Calradic Campaign #40

Three years ago, the pretender Porpaps led a force of Rhodok mercenaries against the Kingdom of Nords in an ambitious war of conquest. A crushing defeat in the field followed by several months of squatting in Ryibelet Castle brought a halt to that plan. Since then, however, the Rhodoks have learned many hard lessons, and King Harlot is determined to expand the Rhodok kingdom in any direction he can. In a daring move, King Harlot has sailed directly into the heart of Nordic territory and invested Curin Castle, taking advantage of the disarray of the Nordic fleet. If he succeeds, he will be have the ability to march on any kingdom in Calradia directly, testing Rhodok pike and shield against all foes. However, Jarl Birgitte has rallied the Nords and their allies, planning a two-pronged attack by land and sea to drive off the Rhodok invaders. The Rhodoks are now forced to abandon the siege lines to do battle with the Nords in the open field. If they succeed, they will have secured their

Modding Companion Start Skills - Possible without tools?

So, I've been messing with some light modding lately (yeah, I know, years late to the party), looking at doing some smaller tweaks to troops and the like - I've figured out some basics with the Troops.txt file like upgrade paths (which I did with Viking Conquest's balance mod to weld in the Shieldmaiden Troop Tree mod to it) and have figured out gear (tested it on a basic fix for Sarranid Guards so they're not wearing worse armor than the tier before it), even to switch companion initial gear. So from there, I thought why not mod companion skills as well while I'm at it? Have some who are specialists actually be specialists right away like it's done in Viking Conquest (adjusting levels appropriately), while others could be blank slates still. However, my google fu has been weak and all I've been able to find are things linking to modding tools and editors. I don't object to them, but I was hoping to try and keep it 'lightweight' so I could mod

Sounds like closed beta is in fact on its way.

I can’t screenshot the whole comment so I will paste it here. “This is another thing we've explained before: developing games is not like producing, say, nails, where if you have to produce 100 nails and you have already made 60 you can say you're 60% on your way. In any creative process, it's much more complicated than that -- something that seems difficult might be solved thanks to a sudden inspiration, while something apparently trivial might prove to be harder than expected. On top of that, games development is an incredibly complex process involving very different teams coordinating in super complex tasks. Giving a percentage as such is potentially misleading -- as some people jokingly say, sometimes the last 30% of the job takes 70% of the time. That's why no software life cycle model uses percentage, instead talking about stages in development. We're in the implementation and testing phase (not in vain we've announced a closed beta soon), which comes ju

Perisno best Cav Archers

For me, I believe the Frod Sceotend Fealcans are the best cav archers in the game. They are level 65 and have insane stats (at least 300 for everything,500 in archery and one handed.) and over 25 in all special stats. They are also extremely hard to get because they are from the Realm of The Falcon faction and cannot be recruited from villages. Their equipment is sort of high tier (60+ armor, 33 damage bow, 50+ damage sword, 700+ shield) and their horses are Mid to high tier. Monument in Bannerlord

I think TW should add a little monument in the direct (or as close to) centre of the map as a location you can go to and visit in remembrance of people who died waiting for Bannerlord. sieges

Ive played the game for some time but this is the first time on the hardest difficulty. I thought I read where the castle defenders would not foray out unless they have a 3-1 advantage but during this play through ive had 4 of the 6 fortresses come out. The last one was against Rivacheg where I had 155 vs 370. the first assault was an attempt to get rid of some archers.. it went well except I lost 85 to their 70. I reloaded troops and came back with 155 vs 300. I had 20 sergeants/8 companions and the rest archers. As soon as I began the siege the entire garrison attacks! I was able to kill 200+ but lost 124 and by some miracle the AI let me retreat. My question: does the difficulty level change this formula? thank you Submitted April 25, 2019 at 09:53AM by wales1958 http://bit.ly/2W9Hh72

How will Bannerlord handle reinforcements?

Just occurred to me looking another person's post, of their army set up all organized, and it made me think about what I feel is (one of) the biggest detractors of any semblance of order on the battlefield. That is how reinforcements work in Warband. My major issue with it is the hodgepodge deployment, and the lack of control for the player to handle the reinforcement of his troops, as well as what units are deployed (I know it goes top to bottom, but it's too big of pain to set up if your army's comp is varied). I'm sure they've made army organization a lot more manageable on the latter, but I don't know if they've done anything for the former. What are ya's theories, or even have they already addressed this? Is more fiefs always better ?

trying to help my faction (Rhodok) to rule all of Calradia as fast as possible, should i ask for more fiefs or give them to other lords, so i don't worry about defending them and focus on capturing more fiefs for my faction. my reasoning is that having too many fiefs will slow me down, as I will have to dump a big army in every castle/town, which will slow my progress, and by giving them to other lords, they will do that for me ! The most punchable face in all of Calradia

It's Count Haringoth's. About this there can be no doubt. He is the absolute worst. Razing my fiefs for the fiftieth time with his twenty stupid soldiers and then getting all all indignant when I stop him. Impudent? He's calling me impudent. Why? Because I wouldn't stand idly by as he burns down farms and pilfers my shit? You ignominious prick. And always wearing that dumb looking helm around his big ass head. If I drank from his skull, I'd feel bloated halfway through. As far as I'm concerned, the goal of the game is getting him exiled outside of Calradia. You get that done, you win. Everyone wins. Role the credits. Who's king? We're all king. Because we banded together and freed the people of the realm from that dickbag, Haringoth. God, how I loathe him. [POP]Would there be a way to implement barricades in Mods like Prophecy of Pendor?

https://i.redd.it/0ik0f7921zt21.jpg I was inspired by the addition of arquebus in PoP 3.9.3 and made a custom matchlock-armed knighthood order and armed them with 15-16th century weaponry. I also changed the reloading motions in Pendor. Musket reload motions in original Pendor seemed to be cut in half for the sake of balance. I wanted the muskets to be historically accurate as much as possible for the roleplay elements. It was a pretty enjoyable experience but the battlefield of pendor seems to be heavily dominated by bows and crossbows. Slow-reloading muskets don't really stand a chance against horse archers. So I wanted to find a way if there is a way to add barricades in the battlefield through modding. Wagon-walls in fire&sword seemed to be a good option but I'm not sure if they can be implemented in a totally different mod like pendor. I'm afraid those wagon-wall generating mechanics are tied to the maps of fire&sword. Adding sapper abilities as in

I've been playing a lot of Mount and Blade, and I noticed that, once you've conquered Calradia, there's really nothing to do. So, I wonder: are there mods that might cause NPC lords to start rebellions and/or start their own factions on their own accords? Are there mods that might allow civilian uprisings in fiefdoms? If not, I'm wondering if there are mods that improve the political systems of the game. Are there mods that let you set your own tax policies, and that create repercussions for bad tax policies? I'm basically wondering about some of the best mods that add more complexity to the political side of Mound and Blade. Submitted April 22, 2019 at 04:13PM by The_Captain_Jules http://bit.ly/2VblKOf

Is the lore in this series really worth paying attention to?

I pretty much just play Warband (with Floris Mod Pack) and I admit that most of the time I kinda glaze over the back-stories of everything, when a companion stops me to tell me about a place or an event I just speed-read through it, not even really letting it settle in. For me, this game has always been light on story in favor of deep engaging gameplay mechanics, which is what I like. I am curious though, am I really missing much? Is there interesting or good lore to be uncovered in this series? Should I be paying more attention and read the flavor text or is there really nothing worth digging up underneath all this sand? On Lineage

I plan on getting the Jeremus equivalent laid/married early and often so that he can sire the most intelligent bloodline Calradia has ever seen. Should the worst ever happen in battle, or should time take its course, there would always be a Jeremus Jeremusson to take up the mantle of doctor for the party. Ideally the head Jeremus would have 2 Jeremusson pupils at any given time. Each successor, in theory, possesses the skills and abilities of his predecessors as well as the vigour of youth. We could go further. Given enough descendants, I'd love to form the Jemguard . A group of twelve warrior scholars, their devotion to book and blade eclipsed only by their absolute faith in the current Jeremus. The Jemguard is dressed in light-medium protective gear and armed with a trusty shortsword, shield as well as the signature quarterstaff. Metal staves would denote senior members. They exclusively fight as a unit surrounding the 2 pupils and Jeremus, most commonly fanned out in a circle

[Native] Where can I store spare horses?

They can't go in castle/town chests in Native. Is there another option? I found a comment from years ago online stating that your wife can hold them (!?). I backed-up and wiped all my old saves to make room for new characters so can't confirm this myself. Anyone know? I have about a dozen top quality rare expensive chargers gathered up, but I'm doing an archer only army right now so they just take up room in my inventory. Nowhere near having a wife any time soon but I would step that up if she can wrangle my horses (giggidy). Submitted April 18, 2019 at 06:06AM by mmciv http://bit.ly/2v9T3Cz

Viking Berserker Build help

As it says on the tin. I need help making a build that is suitable for becoming a Viking King. Can anyone help me make one or link me to some resources for learning how to make character builds? Any mods where you play AS an invading army?

I was thinking of how fun it would be to play as an army that invaded the other factions in the game. Start off with 200-300 mid to top tier troops, and your goal is to take over as much of the map as possible with them. Begin with very negative relations to every faction, possibly not even able to recruit except for rescuing prisoners, and try to establish yourself. For example, it would be like playing as a unique spawn in Pendor. It would be so fun to spawn in as the leader of a snake cult army or something and attempt to do a playthrough as them (except be able to take fiefs and such). Any mods similar to this idea? How to king?

So I’ve been playing mb for a while now. Party size is capped at 80 and I’m level 20. Got a few companions skilled at 4-6 in various group skills. I’m almost at 200 renown and I’m not sure how to continue. I’m playing an honorable female. Currently just a mercenary band for random weak kingdoms in order to keep the map relatively even and kingdoms at same strength. Got 5 enterprises and I’m making money every week. Me and companions are geared in sea raider loot and bandits are no problem at all. Army consists of huscarls and sharpshooters. Where do I go from here? Does RNG decides which faction wins the game?

I'm not sure if this applies to only prophecy of pendor or the whole game. In pendor, I find that my faction (ravenstern) is much more active and smart in war. they keep sieging cities and castles while sarleon is stuck raiding villages. when sarleon does try to attack a ravenstern castle, they are usually stopped. The ravenstern marshal manages to gather all the lords (2k+ troops) and sieges cities with 700 defenders, meaning that even if i did not join the battle they would win. In another save game, the d'shars also straight up wiped the floor with the empire. It's like how the vaegirs get wiped out easily in native. why are some factions just rolling over like this? Jeremus Cosplaying

hey guys, looking for a mod, where you can roleplay as a healer/doctor going to different cities and curing diseases for money. How to not get vassals to hate you?

When I become king, and lords come to me to become vassals they always hate me. Usually I get every single lord who shows up in my court. Also I heard that good-natured and upstanding lords are good to have. Why? Why does my vassals hate me whenever I give out a fief? Rhodok offensive sieges

Can never successfully loot villages

I joined a faction and tried to loot some villages. I have tried to loot maybe 15-20 villages but 90% of the time I get attacked by a count, jarl, sultan, etc. I end up losing my entire army or alternatively lose half covering my retreat and lose all my moral. I can never build a big army and keep it. What am I doing wrong? Should I not join a faction to loot villages? I am using a mod called age of calradia enhanced idk if that makes a difference Submitted April 16, 2019 at 02:27AM by SirBeefums http://bit.ly/2XhzzYO

How do dismounted Knights/Mamelukes compare to Sergeants/Guards in melee?

I've seen this discussion a lot lately, there are people claiming that Swadian/Vaegir Knights and Sarranid Mamelukes are better in dismounted melee combat than their respective faction infantry. Is it true? They are definitely very different, for example Swadian Sergeants fight with 1h and shield, while dismounted Knights use 2-handed weapons 99% of the time. So one could argue that, in sieges, you could use Sergeants as shield/tank infantry vs. archers and use Knights as shock troops against enemy infantry, etc. Submitted April 15, 2019 at 04:02PM by CalradianDestroyer http://bit.ly/2VLvhbB

This game runs without a GPU...

My friend and I were playing around with an old computer he built from scrap parts, it doesn't even have a GPU. Intel i5 CPU was enough to run Pendor at half quality perfectly fine, even in a 150 scale battle against a lord. Granted, the picture was slightly washed, but absolutely playable and enjoyable. That means you can play it on almost any laptop. Console players of Warband, this means you can very likely play the PC version on any computer you have! Submitted April 15, 2019 at 01:45PM by DamianNapo http://bit.ly/2IA7Yho

[AWOIAF] Daenerys missing? Help?

TL;DR at bottom So I finished all of Varys quests and agreed to join Daenerys when she arrives in Westeros, not knowing it would literally be like 3 days after I finished the quest line. They mentioned abandoning all former allegiances and joining her when she arrives, and before she came I received an offer from Lord Paramount Tywin Lannister to join him as a vassal and was given a fief thinking I could simply abandon him and join Daenerys upon her arrival. Well she invaded right after I joined the Westerlands and they became my enemy, while simultaneously I received a raven stating I was invited to denounce my previous oaths and join her, but when I went to Dragonstone it said I couldn’t enter because I was an enemy. I tracked down Tywin and had him free me of my oath which made House Targaryen relation increase.. and now the predicament I am in.. she is absolutely NOWHERE to be found, and none of her Lords have an option to ask where her location is.. so do I need to start over

Help! New to M&B:W. I'm finding it difficult to defend the Swadian realm of which I am a vassal of because there are always many feasts going on. What do I do?

This is most difficult especially during the opening days after war is declared since both sides would have amassed large armies and I only have a 60+ army to defend many castles and towns. Most of the time I feel like I am the only one running around defending shit while these fuckers just keep feasting. Submitted April 15, 2019 at 12:02AM by JellyMule http://bit.ly/2XdPZRP

Sarranids way underrated it's painful

I've seen countless threads shitting on the street shitters for being shit. But in reality they have the 2nd best Calvary mamluks. Best bowmen disregarding the mounted khergits since their shit at defense and attack unmounted. And the infantry 3rd best while not having the best stats dominate even swadian sergeants. Overall I'd say sarranids are only beaten by the rhodoks. (Not a fan of rhodoks just stating a fact) Submitted April 14, 2019 at 01:05PM by Takeyourtrunksoff http://bit.ly/2UDaLO2

Thinking of starting Nova Aetas - advice for new players?

So I've almost finished PoP and thinking of giving Nova Aetas a go next - I've started a new game but hardly played it at all - and I'm wondering what's good to know starting out. Pendor seems to play fairly similarly to vanilla - the big things to know are which troops will totally muller you early on, you can't raid villages because honor is really important, new companion circles, joining/creating knighthood orders, rumours create unique spawns and bows are OP. I did end up restarting Pendor though, partly because 3.9.3 came out, and partly because I wanted the arquebus for my CKO and realised I would need Donavan to train them, ideally picking him up at the very start to level him up a bit first and I hadn't taken him at all (had conflicting companions). What is important to know about Nova Aetas before starting to avoid realising x hours through that you really should have done a instead of b or that you should have done y ages ago? Also, I'm parti

Modding the Arena

This is a question for the resident modders of this sub. I don’t have much modding experience myself, but I was wondering if there was a way to mod the arena fights for native. What I’m wanting to do is make less opponents spawn, but more frequently. Kind of like making it into a big brawl. I also want to eliminate teams. Is there a file I can go into that will allow me to make these changes? Submitted April 12, 2019 at 01:05PM by SirJerryCan http://bit.ly/2VOtSRu

Cavalry in forests

A really cool mechanic I think would be to dismount and slightly damage the player/troops who run into trees at high speeds. Currently you just go 100-0 on trees, rocks, etc. It would make charging into a heavily forested area with infantry very dangerous for mounted units, and could provide some interesting scenarios. Of course at lower speeds you would just stop, maybe the horse takes like 1 damage or something insignificant. Submitted April 12, 2019 at 01:31PM by noir173 http://bit.ly/2v3vEm6

Sci-fi mods? Again.

Ok, so I'm looking for Warband sci-fi mods, preferably something related to space, distant planets, and such, but anything goes at this point. So far, I know of: Star Wars Conquest/ Turmoil across the stars ; Paradigm Worlds ; Warsword Conquest ; Bear Force II ; Sayazn ; (at least, I think it's sci-fi) The Reckoning ; The Reckoning: Third Stage ; The Reckoning: A new beginning ; Serbonian Bog ; (not sure what it's about, a Resident Evil mod?) Brave new world ; Chile Zombie ; Terrorist Invasion ; Dawn of a New Era ; (dead until Bannerlord, apparently) Grim Age - Skirmish ; (supposedly sci-fi/ fantasy; dead now) D'you guys know of any other sci-fi mods? Mercenary in PoP overpowered?

This is my first playthrough in any warband game that I haven't joined a faction and instead decided to be a mercenary for Ravenstern. The amount of money they pay you just to sit around and do the occasional task is tremendous. I get 12k denars a week for a 11.5k upkeep party and I haven't helped my faction in months (it helps they're consistently at peace). There was an early war that helped me build renown and I helped a lot then, but ever since I've been doing KO quests, fighting minor facs, and setting up all enterprises all the while leeching the fuck off of Ravenstern, so much so I feel like there needs to be a cap or something. Now just not sure when to start my own kingdom, if only you could buy some right to rule. tl;dr 10k profit denars a week by being an absent merc Submitted April 12, 2019 at 12:22PM by noir173 http://bit.ly/2UQenLQ

ACOK or AWOIAF?

A simple Question, since I haven't played either of these mods, which one would you suggest? I prefer harder campaigns, like Prophesy of Pendor, and I'm not watching the GoT since I'm still waiting for the book. Increasing Zoom Value

Hi all, I've looked around Google but can't find anything on tweaks to increase the zoom level when pressing shift. I know there are other ways to make seeing your shots easier, ive done a few, but i would really appreciate it if my shift zoom was a bit stronger. I figure it must be linked to some value in one of the files and I'm hoping one of you stallions knows which one. Thanks in advance! L'Aigle Beginners guide

Hi so If you're like me a big noob to playing L'Aigle and need some basic help here it is. Note: I'm not super good at this game, this is in no way meant to be an all encompassing guide. I have 150 days on L'Aigle which is not a lot compared to many but I find that there aren't a lot of guides out there or if there are the info is really spread out. This might have errors so feel free to help me out. My current L'Aigle mod is the most recent (1.41). The way I play is on normal everything with battle size up to 450. I love this mod, I feel it's very polished, very few bugs. Starting out: I would suggest not attempting the usual warband style of a one man army because its very likely that you're not gonna make it. Instead focus on int and charisma, My playstyle is the traditional trader first with 4 in trader (i don't really need past this) and pathfinding with a few horses to keep me fast. Grab leadership and when you cant add anymore then add
