Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Renaming Companions?

Is there a mod that let's you rename companions (first and last), that works with 1.5.10? I have two Fiaslyn the Wanderer's in my party, and it's a little annoying. Wildlife of calradia

Hello to all of you. How are you today? Today I come to you esteemed masters with a slightly different project, speculative zoology for calradia! In short, whether it's paleontology or hobby animals and making assumptions about animals and their behavior is pretty fun and valuable, these days the wildlife of calradia is a bit confusing to me, calradia has animals! That's for sure, whether it's the symbols on the banners and emblems or the information the characters give in game, we are knowledgeable about creatures such as deer, pigs and wolves living in Calradia, I've passed these, and after a very detailed research and thought, I came across evidence of even the existence of leopards and buffaloes in Calradia, now the only thing left. The fun part has come, drawing, imagining and documenting! Claradia is a fantasy universe, not our world, and of course the animals living in it are somewhat different from ours, we can see this because there are different breeds of ani

Is there an original Warband mod for Bannerlord?

Is there any overhaul mods in the works that move Bannerlord's setting to the time of original Warband. I want the Nords, Swadians, Rhodocks, Khergits, Saranids, and Vaegers on the new Bannerlord Engine. So...anyone know if it's in the works? Version Performance

I recently updated from 1.5.7 to 1.5.9 and I noticed a SIGNIFICANT decrease in performance. Is this a common problem with this version? I've seen a couple comments about performance issues recently but I figured it would be good to just ask. Performance is so bad now that even after swapping my settings from a mostly medium setup, to all low/off, it is basically unplayable. It took 2 minutes to load the full inventory with cheat mode on, something that used to take about 10-15 seconds. The map is so laggy that after moving from one city to another I decided it was not even worth keeping going. Every few patches I jump back in, play for a while to test out new stuff and usually the performance gets better. Is the beta version any better or am I better off waiting? submitted by /u/Jorlaan [link] [comments]

Am I the only one who feels guilty when playing this game?

It happened to me both in Bannerlord and Warband. I'd go gather a considerable party of fresh recruits, I'd run around raising them to a bigger level, I'd run around the map doing whatever it is you do, then I'd go in a battle. And then another one... And another one... Until I'm left with only a fraction of my troops. Am I the only one who feels remorse when that happens? Everything felt so real. Everything from the moment I walk into a village, as if I come to pick up those young villagers and help them escape their monotonous lives, hoping to have an opportunity, we have an adventure together and then it's all gone with the strike of a blade or the flight of an arrow. I know none of this actually happened to any living, breathing being, but it made me realize, I'm not the vicious, sadistic, conquerer, hellbent on taking over the world that I thought I was. Is modding still broken?

Ngl I quit bannerlord at 70 hours cause I couldn't get mods to work and honestly the game (at least to me) is boring as fuck without them. I get it bannerlord is basically early access but still. Wish there was more to the game. Anytime prior I had tried modding the game always crashed on startup even with relatively light mods such as V's No Workshop Limit Workshops work better Xoberaxs cut through everyone Dismemberment Fire arrow enabler Game always faced an "unexpected error" and crashed without the log telling me anything that went wrong. Admittedly i wanted to rip my damn hair out after 1 weekend spending 14 hours total trying to get things working correctly only to keep getting failed messages, I kept validating files, mixing and matching mods, triple checking what versions they were made for, downloading the common version all mods shared and would work on, quadruple checking dependencies etc. Nothing ever fixed that damn error message. Is there a mod that adds a sort of map coloration similar to the Crusader Kings series?

I’ve always thought this was something that would fit well with the Mount and Blade series and was wondering if there was a mod like that that would color the overworld map and change when territory was gained or lost by the factions. Really weird issue where game freezes

So I first thought my manual save and my latest autosave were corrupted since after loading in it would freeze the game 5 seconds after letting it run so i loaded my 2nd to last save and it seemed to work fine but it seems i just have a bit more time before the same thing happens (idk if it synchs up to the time the issue happens to my most recent saves) but then i decided to just stand still and the issue doesnt happen after some time passes (i waited 24h ingame) but as soon as i start moving in any direction the game freezes after 10-15 seconds, this makes zero sense. My thoughts would be that some kind of entity/quest/character/item is getting loaded in when i move and that completely locks the game. My manual save was outside of Galend and my last autosave outside of Sanala (but i've deleted those two since i thought they were corrupted) so now I'm outside of Ortysia and if i move in any direction the game freezes and it doesnt come back. There's no errors or anythin

AI Cheating???

I’m currently playing as Sturgia and we are constantly at war with Battania. They can create multiple armies of 800-1200, through raising armies in able to defeat them but then almost instantly they summon more and I have to retreat while they take my castles until I can recruit more troops or call more vassals to the army. How can the AI maintain, have the manpower, or money to have up to three large armies and then recreate them after they are defeated? Anyone have any help or advice? I don’t know what to do anymore and it really ruins the game. I’ve destroyed several armies and can’t even stem the tide. Please help. Anyone know how to adjust aggressiveness levels?

I remember back in warband you were able to edit the degree at which parties pursue each other based on their faction standings. Most notably I want to increase bandit party aggressiveness and lord party aggressiveness towards those same parties as well. I'm hoping this could lower the number of the bandit parties on the overworld, they're getting a bit out of hand and starting to lag the campaign map. submitted by /u/neagrosk [link] [comments]

Starting rebellions in enemy settlements via console commands

Afternoon everyone. Not sure how everyone feels about using the console commands but I had a question. Im currently in a game as the Battanians. Im doing fairly well, but cant seem to declare war on my oppressors the Sturgians whom Ive paid over 100k in tribute to without the Vlandians or Aserai declaring war on me, but I digress. Ive noticed the Khuzaits are getting very strong. They have 10 cities. Theyre not a direct threat against me, but Id like to have them knocked down a notch. I was looking at some of the console commands to see if I could spawn troops for the Northern Empire whom they are currently at war with but it appears thats not one of them. I also cant gift my own troops to them. As I was browsing, I noticed a "campaign_start_rebellion_in_settlement" command. I thought it would work to at least keep them from expanding. But it doesnt seem to work. Ive put settlement names on the end, and just the command itself and I always get the "unknown command"

How hard is it to fix sieges.

Like seriously it's annoying how you can see mods but sieges are still a mess. I mean how annoying is it to have your guys stand right beside the ladders but nobody wants to climb it, your guys will be standing inside the gates but nobody is hitting the gate to open it... The only ones hitting the gate are the enemy... no why would you be trying to break your own defences. The AI basically runs in all these different directions or they lock onto a specific character and they don't care about getting hit from behind. They pool up in these spots and create these chokepoints. Even if you destroy the walls it doesn't give you much advantage. It's just a shame. It feels like the devs are adding a bunch of other stuff but not fixing massive things like sieges. It makes me cringe In sieges. I've fallen through the map. I've fallen into impossible places to escape from. AI won't care about the walls beside. If they have a long weapon all they do is hit the wall

Confusion regarding new kingdom culture selection in 1.4.1 Beta.

The patch notes said that you can create a kingdom at clan tier 4 if you own one settlement. Youll be prompted to choose a culture for your new faction, and choose 4 policies as well as name your new kingdom. I took Dinar Castle in the Khuzait Khanate, created my new kingdom and selected Sturgia as my culture. Went to recruit troops from the villages and they are all Khuzait. I was under the assumption that the culture of the recruits changed to correspond to the culture you selected in kingdom creation menu. Am I wrong in thinking that from the patch notes? Why aren't my recruits Sturgian? If I am wrong that part of the selection has zero purpose in-game, unlike the policies you choose which have effects. In the Memoriam of Qarais The Scholar

He was a brave man. I hired him very early of the game, and noticed his very good skill with medicine. He was good with one handed swords and Always when i entered a tournament, he was there too, mostly as my enemy. Once he won me in the finale. With his help, i regenerated my HP much faster. His medical skill was at 130. Sadly he died at a siege against the battannia. Fought bravely until the last drop of his blood, died with honor. With his help we gained the control of the castle, but it cost us the best companion anyone can have, i can never find a replacement for you. I will miss our times at the tournaments. In Need of Tactics Help

Just got into this game and loving it. Picked up most of it and fight winning about half the tourneys. While I struggle a bit with enemy hit boxes when mounted and really struggle with the bow when riding full speed the real killer is managing my troops in battle. Is there a resource I can look up? You don't really have time to play around in the menu and just fuck around and it's not always intuitive. For example, I assumed "Advance" would match the whole army forward in unison... Not so much. If you peeps can point me somewhere or offer tips that would be great I've been replaying the same battle via save spam and while it feels cheap it's also boring and I'd like to accelerate this learning curve. Assigning territory

This is a pretty simple question of a mechanic that I ought to have figured out by now, and that is assigning territory. I am the king of my faction, and as king one of my responsibilities is to decide who gets to keep a castle after we take it. The process is always the same, three nobles are selected as candidates, the rest of the nobles vote for the one they think is most deserving, and then I pick the winner. So, my question is, how does the computer decide who those three candidates are? I ask this because, there seem to be 6 clans which take turns as being the candidates. And I have a good 15 or so clans in my empire. (I probably should have looked up how many I have before making this post, but I didn't :( ) I have several clans with only 1 or 2 fiefs, and then I have these 6 clans with5 to 7 fiefs, with one clan (the old emperors clan) having 9 fiefs. Now, I would love to give my self more territory, but for now I would settle on just distributing it more equitably. How d

People being able to die in Bannerlord adds a lot of interesting story developments!

I started the campaign, was gonna woo Ira and then wait for Rhagaea to grow old and die so I could be king. Joined up with the Southern Empire as a merc to start building up relationships with my future nobles... Very first battle, of the entire game, Rhagaea dies on the battlefield. Completely changes everything, my plans, the landscape of the nobles, I'm not even sure I can finish the starting quest since she died so fast hahaha. Compared to Warband where nobody ever dies this is really refreshing and makes it a lot more interesting. Just wanted to share, since I feel like this is one aspect of Bannerlord that hasn't gotten as much hype surrounding it. An appreciation post of sorts! Anything I should know as a casual Warband player before starting Bannerlord?

I've been a casual fan of Warband for a couple years, and at first I avoided Bannerlord after being told it was basically Warband with better graphics, but I recently purchased it after looking a little more into it and liking what I saw. I love Warband, but one of my biggest gripes with it was how most of my learning came from trial and error; and most errors resulted in anywhere between 30 minutes to a few hours of grinding to get back to where I was. I'm a bit anxious about the same happening in Bannerlord. So, from the perspective of someone who has played a casual amount of Warband, are there any tips you can give me that will help me out a bit? submitted by /u/DaddyJaspersSon [link] [comments]

Something I've noticed about the MnB games

I've been playing MnB on and off for a very long time now. Normally, I create my character, and specialize in mounted archery with a saber and shield. It's pretty good: get a Courser and shoot the enemy while circling them, and once you run out of arrows, just start slashing drive-by style. The saber can be replaced with a Bastard Sword (or any 1h/2h sword or mace, really), making it even better, because its 2h swing is stronger and compensates for when the shield gets destroyed. As to other things, I usually am an honourable character, never attacking villages or peasants, chasing bandits, and refusing "blood money". But I've noticed that it's also a bit tedious to stick to this kind of playstyle. Not because it makes progress a bit slow, but because the playstyle itself can get tiresome. I'm not sure how to put it more clearly. Sometimes, when I don't feel like "roleplaying", I just create a randomized character, get a two-handed weapon (

Is using a one-handed mace/hammer (or short weapon in general) viable from horseback in either Bannerlord or Warband?

I've tried it a few times in Warband, but I have a real bad habit of missing my swings, or hitting but having to get so close that they land a solid hit on my horse or myself in exchange. I know that blunt weapons such as these were generally the preferred close-quarters weapons of knights and other men-at-arms, but mostly when they were on foot or relatively stationary. How do I take a port city with 800+ men in it???

Hi, everyone. As the title says. I'm king of my own little kingdom in Wales and I want to take Caer Dyf, the last holdout of the Kingdom of Glywysing. However, the garrison there is absolutely massive - it varies between 790 and 850, plus enemy lord armies. My party can have up to 390 men, and I have no boats (landlocked kingdom), but my maxed refuge can take boats if I were to buy some. I have a large army of mostly low level troops guarding my castles (400 in Caer Sws, 350 in Din Bych and 500 in Meigen Cel Cincoed (?)) and a bigger army (1100) in my city of Brycheiniog. My vassal lords all have a terrible personality and one village each; I just got the debauched exiles of other kingdoms to run my villages for now, since they just bugger off if they get tired of me and don't take my fiefs in rebellion. Started a new run now and by god theres no quests anywhere. I visit up to 7 or 8 villages before i find a quest in any. And even when I do it's a quest I cant do. The only quest I can find reliably is the poachers quest, but im poor due to lack of quests, so I dont have the men to take down the poachers. Did they change quest frequencies or something? submitted by /u/Willing-Baseballer [link] [comments]

Help with Neretzes Folly

So I've been playing this game on and off for a while now aand I just recently started a 1.5.9 game. I'm doing pretty good with me being the most influential noble in Vlandia besides the king, but suddenly I get a notification that I've failed Neretzes Folly because 10 years have passed. I quickly loaded up a save several minutes prior to that, and I'm wondering if there are any mods that disable that timer so I can just continue the game without running into issues later down the line? I would like to make my own kingdom and do the quests and stuff but I simply hadn't paid it any attention and now I'm kind of stuck in this awkward situation. submitted by /u/OnAGratefulUniverse [link] [comments]

Launcher freezes

o I have a pretty weird issue. whenever I start Bannerlord via the Launcher it is completely frozen, I can move the cursor but I can't select or even close it, not even the graphics of the launcher show up correctly (like the news slides). However the game itself works perfectly fine when I start Bannerlord directly from the game files I can play it just fine even on higher settings. I tried verifying game files, deleting the launcher files to make steam download them again but nothing changed. I was able to run Bannerlord on my old PC which had slightly lower stats and Windows 8.1 My current stats are AMD FX 8350 8GB RAM HDD Windows 10 pro 64x based PC NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 3GB submitted by /u/Notjustthegermen [link] [comments]

Surrender based on traits

Let's say a city is besieged by a 1700 man Vlandia host. The garrison numbers 500. They have no chance. But if the lord leading the army has the merciful trait, the city actually surrenders as they know they will not be sacked. But saying if the lord is a cruel man, the city resists till the end. They will die anyway and fight harder. They also have a less potential to run from battle. submitted by /u/King_Derthert [link] [comments]

What was Classic's endgame?

I've been playing MnB on-and-off since Classic (original MnB) was, maybe, version 0.808 (if not 0.650-or-so even), but I never got too far into actually campaigning. I would always just run around the map, fighting bandits, doing quests for lords, and... I actually did join a kingdom a couple of times, but yeah, it was all on-and-off, and then the mods dropped and I never actually reached very far into anything. Then came Warband, and I switched to that. Just now this thought hit me: What was Classic's endgame? In Warband, it's pretty clear - start your own kingdom and take over the entire map. But in Classic, you couldn't start a legit kingdom, because this feature just wasn't written into the game. If you took a fief for yourself, your domain would be called "(kingdom name) rebels" or something along those lines, and there'd be no way to interact with other kingdoms outside of all-out war, especially since you couldn't even make peace - kingdo

How do you leave a faction that you're the ruler of?

Long story short, Raganvad died, and I was voted new ruler of Sturgia. Except now I want to start my own kingdom, but I can't leave Sturgia. Both the "Leave Kingdom" buttons on Clan and Kingdom tab are greyed out. Is there a way to do this or do I just have to wait for an update? Anybody seen this city bug? Zero Tax, Completion Never

I was awarded Myzea during a war, but now managing the city doesn't change any values no matter what. I have tried different governors and different construction queues, but they always say completion time "Never". Construction is zero because loyalty is low and nothing I do can improve loyalty. Any fix for this or am I just screwed on this settlement. https://preview.redd.it/joiz6zlfrk171.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=c63dcd3934faaf0ea0604f43509f636fcefcd69c submitted by /u/BannerHomie [link] [comments]

Banner Icon Mod

I'm so annoyed by the lack of support for truly custom banners. The icons provided are very limiting when it comes to animal banners. Is anyone able to figure out a way to replace one the existing icons with a custom one. I've experimented a little but maybe someone more familiar with the code could help me figure this out. I want my icon to be this wolf. https://preview.redd.it/kqnzmc4h5k171.png?width=969&format=png&auto=webp&s=8d4d1f0aad934721d62093fa043859996172e152 submitted by /u/THEWARW0LF [link] [comments]

Recruiting Lords to your kingdom?

So in my situation, I just formed my new kingdom, own two very prosperous towns and three castles, my clan can summon an army of around 1500 men so we can go toe to toe with most major powers when it comes to it. All this in mind, when I go to recruit a clan, I breeze through the persuasion with over 100 charm, but then they always want millions of gold in bartering. Even putting forth the several hundred thousand that I have barely makes a dent. This is with lords of high relation, I have plenty of renown, what else am I supposed to do to lower the bartering cost? submitted by /u/mattposidon [link] [comments]

what currently are the main choke points of the game?

So, I played this game on it’s launch and spent the next couple of months drowned with it. It was fantastic… until a certain point when it became repetitive because of its early stage etc etc etc. Now that several months have passed and the developers managed to elaborate many patches, I experienced major performance improvements — for instance, my 2013 PC has poor specs nowadays and could barely run the game back when it was launched, but on the current patch I can play a 500 soldiers battle on medium graphics barely saw lag. Anyway, my question is: what are the game’s main choke points on the latest patch? •Is levelling less clunky and are players able to progress without getting locked on a specific level without getting to improve their skills? •Playing as your character’s children is considerably problematic? Do they manage to acquire decent stats before the death of your main character so that you don’t have to start from 0 but rather from 3 or 4/10? •I understand that the

Sieges even worse somehow

Just come back to this game after six months and I’m playing on the main version - shocked to see siege AI is even worse. I used to get annoyed at them only one ladder, now they don’t use them at all - instead they just stand around the base getting picked off Please fix this taleworlds, it’s fairly game breaking submitted by /u/40kaccounttd [link] [comments]

Conquering a city with a small army.

I joined the Aserai faction because I love their heavely armored cav archers (and screw their royal line, they die super quick) recently I got the perk to transfer bandits into regular troops and started capturing forest bandits. In the meantime we were at war with the southern kingdom and I wanted to try the power of my new battanian fians. So I decided to take my 270 ish troops (160 mamaluke heavy can archers and 110 battanian fian champions) to vostrum, a city guarded by over 1000 troops. I started the seige and to my suprise they rushed out. With battle size of 1000 their cav archers were almost instantly killed due to my defensive formation. Then their cav started to charge, all dead before they even managed to reach my archer line. Then their archers moved in front, almost half of them were dead before they got back behind their infantry. The infantry was too slow to get to me and I send my cav archers to flank and shoot them in the back. Every lord got captured and all troops

What are the different limits to passive income?

I like a lot about the game, but I don't like being limited by income. It's like I need to have a questionable amount of men to jump from warlord to noble. (And I've never really made it that far) Maybe I'm missing something. But the way I tend to go about it is to hire a few men, go around doing tournaments, invest in passive income (Which I have to look up what the best investments are, and even then it's questionable that they are even good), and when I have maxed out passive income, I start maxing out the amount of men I have, and their upgrades. But it's not sustainable. submitted by /u/Millbrook27 [link] [comments]

Why attack bandit hideouts?

I was just wondering what you gain out of attacking hideouts except for loot and xp. Is it not a bad thing in the long run since you dont have bandits hanging around for you to attack and train your party? submitted by /u/ballsacco420 [link] [comments]

Infantry Stats and Analysis

Hi, my name is Eddie and I spent a few weeks gathering data. Bannerlord has been one of my favorite games in the last year and I spent a lot of time playing it, so I wanted to better understand the combat system: what units are stronger and why? Are all formations viable and what is the best time to use it, what is the difference between a sword and an axe, and is long spear better than a short one? These kind of things. So I hopped in the custom battle and I started sending groups of units at each other, let them fight, observe their behavior and record the outcome of the fights. Rinse and repeat with different units/formations to gather enough data, visualize it under the form of graphs, and hopefully draw a meaningful conclusion. I learned a lot throughout this process and I figured other people might be interested, so I decided to share the data along with my personal thoughts. How do you keep valuable companions from dying?

I was attacking a castle recently and went to put up the ladder immediately as usual, but as I'm climbing, I look to my side and my surgeon with no combat skills is the first one up the walls. Luckily he didn't die in that battle but frequently in large battles I see my specialty companions (surgeon, engineer, scout) fighting on the front lines, and die. Is there some way you can keep them out of combat? Or is there some way to really boost their combat stats? I already dump tens of thousands of gold on armor for them but it doesn't seem to help. submitted by /u/mattposidon [link] [comments]

I miss feasts

Feasts were one of my favorite parts of warband. They were a great place to meet all the lord's and ladies of a kingdom and could even be used tactically to defend a city under attack. To me this is one of the biggest missing features in bannerlord and would really help break up the monotony of constant war. I hope this feature makes a return soon as I've currently got a whole lot of butter and nothing to do with it :'( Submitted May 25, 2021 at 07:16PM by ColinMochrieIsMyDad https://ift.tt/3vsOHnK

From 144 FPS to 2 FPS

As titel is saying, I am experiencing huge frame drops/stuttering. Mainly when I am on the campaign map or in the shop, It can suddenly go from running smooth to being almost frozen for several seconds. The stuttering never happens during battle. I have tried almost every fix I can find online, but nothing has helped. It mainly started after latest update. I have a 1080TI GPU I59600K CPU 32 GB Ram 1600 Mhz.
